I get the feeling from your post that if you were at the con then you would be one of those people saying to Sideshow "Forget the non-attendees- keep the ES super low as long as I have mine!"

I'm a bit surprized that this comes from you. You should know me better than that. For me, collecting is also about the hunt. That's why I've always been a supporter of low edition sizes. You know, you win some, and you loose some. As long as EVERYBODY get's the same shot at the item. Flippers, rich collectors, poor collectors, loyal collectors, first time customers, *******s, saints ... doesn't matter. I am completely against the favoritism SSC sometimes pulls off (the way the PF Maul was offered for instance).

Dusty, with attendees ordering on the floor, will the non-attendees stand a chance at the items with a lower ES? Please tell "them" who'd like the edition size very low, not to forget about us, the guys that can't make it to the SDCC! Mind you, I'm not asking for a higher ES, since I love low ES's, I just hope that the non-attendees get a fair chance at the items offered. Look what proportions this has already taken:

i'm disappointed i was singled out by you alice. i'm sure if you expressed an interest for a freak to pre-order one for you, and you kindly compensated him/her $100, you may also find someone to order for you. people pay others to stand in ticket lines and sometimes overnight. this isn't too far from that common acceptable practice.

i have seen the results of a logjam ppo first hand. things and people get very ugly. i also expressed to dusty in another thread to please consider the fact that many people may want this item and to adjust the es accordingly. hopefully they will. i missed the first iron-man because i wasn't an avid collector then and the ebay prices are way too high for my budget now. iron-man is one of my favorites so i made an offer. $100 to the person pre-ordering it for me isn't exactly stealing it from someone else. sorry for upsetting you.

Oh, tylerd, you do as you please! It's just a practice I'm not familiar with. Goes to show that you are very creative when it comes to getting what you want. I'd rather take my chance on PPO day, even with a ridiculously low edition size. I just hope that SSC will administer the rule of equal opportunity!
As for you frustration about missing the first iron man, I understand it, since I still hurt from missing the original Weta Balrog. Maybe Josh will me give his one day, who knows.
I don't want to rub it in, but I had the first iron man exclusive on order... and cancelled it! Just like that! Bam! Do I regret it? No, since there's a much cooler iron man with light up function coming our way!


EDIT: really didn't mean to single you out tylerd, I just wanted to point out that people do 'strange' things in anticipation of missing an eagerly wanted collectible. It wasn't personal.

You think larger than 150? Of course I'm referring to the Grey Hulk so I'm not so sure the ES will be all that big. I'd be surprised if it were more than 200

This is going to be available as an exclusive only, and as far as I know, they would like to keep the edition size very low. Edition size should be announced on the day of the PPO, so definitely come back for that - and watch the photo galleries for more pics of it from the con floor!
