For those of you who have watched the film...who would be your choices to cast to play the characters as adults. I guess they can cast anyone . I remember in the tv mini series John Ritter played the fat kid as an adult.

So they don't have to necessarily have the adults look like the kid actors

Not going to see it until later this week with the wife.

My question is this, does he turn into a Freddy Krueger type character with silly laughable effects or does he remain genuinely creepy?

I also keep reading that the movie is not scary at all and that Stranger Things did the kids better, is this accurate?

There are certainly enough added CGI effects to the clown throughout the film (especially toward the end). Personally, I felt like they used too much CGI for him - Skarsgård could have carried the character well enough without all of that OTT CGI stuff. I'd say he does, to some extent, turn into a Freddy Krueger type character.

Saw the movie last night I feel that the movie was great but I was a little let down by the fact that Pennywise was literally only on screen for about 4 minutes for the whole movie

I didn't feel that way. He was a great onscreen presence and his shap shifting into different things and creatures was unsettling. That library scene was very disturbing

Clown waiting patiently for jye to show up. :lol
