Here's hoping the release date for the figure from Storm Collectibles hasn't changed.. Looking forward to getting this figure!

Mmmmm.... no. "Im so mad I could punch/kill someone" Very common phrase.... but 99.9% of people dont punch/kill someone.

You miss the point. The ones that do, if using you anecdotal percentages, .1% that have did it, thought or said it and felt like doing it BEFORE they actually did it. Many women who are beaten or murdered by their significant others are often told by their attackers that they plan on doing it.

I think your argument is flawed...but it's your opinion, have at it. My own opinion is to take folks at their word. If they don't like me, or think I'm a ni883r who is lower than them on the human scale (as if there is one), I don't pretend that they don't really mean it and continue to kiss their hind parts...but that's just me.

Words and ideas can sometimes be just as damaging, if not more so, than actions. Sometimes actions don't inspire action, the kid that shot up that church is a great example. Sometimes words can do what actions can't, Isis recruits with words over the internet whereas their beheadings may not get much action at all in regards to recruitment.

Enjoy your figure though...hope it's all that it looks to be cracked up to be...no sarcasm either. It looks great. Just won't be gracing my shelf.

No offense, but all your examples are blowing this way out of proportion.

Its fact that Hogan has made some indiscutable comments. But apparently he seems to be willing to take over responsibility. I am not defending him and I never will because there is no defending for what he said. But I also see that he appears to be willing to deal with the consequences. Judging from the comments of Rodman, Virgil and others he appears to have done a terrible (stupid) mistake that wasnt meant the way it appears to. It is still inexcusable but still not comparable to any kind of murder.
He appologized and did not defend his comments in any way. I know, this is the expected way to do, but lets be honest, it is also the only thing he can do now. Only time will tell how this will evolve.

I agree...it's on the extreme. I was using a bit of hyperbole.

My point being, I take people at their word. Since he's a racist by his own admission, I take him for his word and all that might come with it.

What if someone spoke ill of your child? Would you let that slide?

I'm not trying to be mean when I say this, but the only people coming off hurt are the Hulkamaniacs :lol everyone else is pretty much satisfied how the situation turned out.
saying something about my child is completely different than actually physically touching my child

Ever heard the saying " all talk and no action"?
I think it applies here

I'm not a hulkster fanatic, just tired of this over-reaction to some words
Look at Riley cooper last year, saying the n word at a concert
Then he goes and puts in work with his teammates, I'm sure he interacts with them, befriends them, and works towards a common goal with them
I'm pretty confident that the guys he plays with don't view him as a racist, just a nucklehead that popped off
In the same respect, hogan is getting some support from his black coworkers/buddies
Guys that have spent time with him

I understand they're two totally different things but if someone talks about your child you would just brush it off? It wouldn't bother you at all? You might be a zen master :lol everybody isn't wired like you unfortunately.

Like I said before, him using the "N" word didn't rub me the wrong, you take every "N" word he said out of his comments and it's still just as bad.

I can post a video with Hulk Hogan dropping the "N" word in a playful manner left and right, and nobody made a big fuss about, but the leaked transcripts he's actually saying he's a racist :lol, how can anyone defend that?

Here on SSF people argue about dolls, statues, movies etc....but for some reason when a popular celebrity goes on a racist rant we should resort to stick and stones?

Can't believe people over react to these things. We have to be politically correct in our private homes?

Seriously... he is a wrestler. Not a political leader. He "was" a role model for kids, but everyone that follows the Hulkster currently is already old enough to not take it as a bad influence, cause they are all in their late 20's to 30's.

The whole thing with NBA Clippers owner - Donald Sterling was a little different. He was the owner of a team that is primarily African-American, in a LEAGUE that is dominated by African Americans. This prejudice affects employees, and the main players are strong enough to move to any other team in the NBA.

Hulk Hogan is an 80's American Icon that still exists for nostalgic value. I just don't believe people need to be careful what they say in the comfort of their own homes during private matters. What if he was caught saying nasty things while in bed with someone... like... Hey babe.. you are sluttier then Madonna and I'm gonna nail you to the floor. Does he need to publicly apologize to Madonna? This is bull$xit
