On that note, couldn't Storm Collectibles just send those of us with damaged arms some replacement arms?
Then again, I suppose they need us to send the whole figure back to them first.

This figure allows the arms to be easily removed, so I think It would've been smarter of Storm Collectibles if they used SEAMLESS plastic arms -
- Relaxed left and right arms.
- Angled/posed left and right arms.

You could get some nice poses with that combo, and as a bonus, they would look astetically superior to the rubber arms(due to the rubber bunching up at the elbow bend), and most importantly they wouldn't rip!
I'd be extremely happy with that solution. What do you guys think?

Sounds good but ppl will still find anything to complain.

Stuff like it might as well be a statue. Or I don't need that many arms. Or it's not at the right angle for me. I have so many arms I want more bodies instead. Why not have interchangeable legs too. Etc etc

You see where I'm getting at? Either not seamless ppl complain. Seamless, ppl also complain.

Ppl without the figure also complain. Haha there's no satisfying anyone anymore.
Is there a perfect figure? Nope. Just keep trying to do what's best they can is all I can say and don't do too many **** ups.

You can ask them about that and I have as well.
Each figure/s are painted individually with a separate coat/s of paint as I've mentioned before.

They would have to ask for the entire figure back to colour match all the parts for you. That's their policy I'm afraid.

I didn't go into further depths with regards to warranties. Perhaps you could shed some light with us after your experience?

Nice suggestion. Changeable seamless, jointed, & statue arms FTW. Even something similar with what HT did with their AoU Hulk, & that removable torso. All of that for a measly $500 per figure :lol

wish they would consider offering the posed arms sold separately option or a joint exposed bod like their previous tyson. can only imagine eventually they wont be able to offer new bods for replacement. bet this is hurting PO's of the hogan, assuming so. the tony jaa looked cool and i was tempted until i realized arms are covered joints same as this Tyson.

Even if Storm sends you replacement arms, bodies and legs how long would they last before they broke again? This fig just came out, I could understand breakage on rubber figs after a couple of years, but a couple of days or weeks is unacceptable. Why would anyone want to order this fig now, if I had one already I send it back for a refund, the future is definitely not bright for anyone that owns this figure.

Storms next releases tony jaa, hulk hogan and the other versions of tyson all have the same body mechanics, if storm made a mistake with the materials and mechanics of the bodies they will be a hurting.

I feel like the more peeps start to receive theirs (& pose them, that's an important part), the more problems we might see from this body sadly. I managed to get the SC body in a really nice peekaboo stance, but the elbows are kinda at their bend limit, so I'm not too excited about possible issues later on. But for now, I'm enjoying the pose. & that's probably going to be the type of pose I'm going to display that body in.

iPhone pic quality. Sorry.

That looks awesome. I really wish I could pose it like that.

For those getting replacement bodies from Storm, are they sending the exact same as the previous body?

It's nice that SC is doing that but I don't see how this really solves anything since you still won't be able to pose Tyson in a dynamic pose - unless you want to risk breakage again.

To be on the safe side, I will display mine with his arms flat to the side.

This might be the compromise we will have to make. Either that or find a rubber casing that doesn't rip so easily.

I'm considering buying a Phicen female figure, I read mostly good things about their seamless body, and I never saw people complain about deterioration (I didn't researched it enough yet, so, I might be wrong). And they are now releasing they male body as well.

Anyone knows if they have the same issues? Or did they really cracked the code?

I would like to see the Mike Tyson head on a Phicen female figure. I look forward to seeing your pics. :)

thought the rubber prob was solved when companies started using soft pvc for covered joints, like whats on cpu wires. i think thats whats on the HT hulk etc. i know threeA used it on the IM's they did and havent seen any reports of them cracking.

assumed this was same but guess not..... storm did not get the memo.:slap

Cheers. I am quite happy with the way that is displayed. But I think the outer elbow area has changed colour a bit (seems to have gotten lighter), so I'm guessing it's quite stretched in that area, so I guess I won't be overly surprised if they start to tear :thud:

Yeah. Sadly that seems to be the way to go to avoid the risk of ruining the body. Even if it's only 5% of the bodies that have a manufacturing flaw, I'm guessing these pics would simply scare others away from posing their figures. It would be nice to hear from those that got it early, & have had them posed with the arms bent for months without issues.
I hear you. Maybe because I knew them well they offered to reimburse me, but I told them no, it wont be fair on them. It ended up coming out of my pocket, but I was fine with that.
It didn't occur to me to ask you before, but what was wrong with the body you got? Problem out of the box? Or something happen with the body later on?

Other than the older Storm Toys body, anybody tried another body to use for this?

It was for a fellow collector. When the figures first came out of the factories to Storms office, all figures were packed inside the foam that you all see now. However as soon as a few figures were taken out of the box, the foam had already caused rubbing to the bodies which hence caused paint rub. The problem was quickly resolved by repacking each one and wrapping the figure with a plastic sheet, which everyone should have. This stopped the paint rub. However a few got shipped out, because everyone wanted them first and fast. So replacement were needed to retrieve them back and swap for a new one.

This only affected like the initial shipment. So no big deal there and it was something very minor that no one even thought it would happen. An experience which would not likely happen again with future releases.
