I understand. I think I might have moved that plastic covering around where the body still is, not thinking that might happen. I should wrap it up in that plastic sheet properly, when I open that box up again.
Other than the older Storm Toys body, anybody tried another body to use for this?
I'm going to answer my own question. So I was searching online for a suitable alternative body for Tyson, when I came across this:

The ACI Andrew body. I then realised I already had that body, & was using it on an unfinished figure bash. So I stripped the clothes off of it, but sadly, the arms & legs were quite stained from the clothing it had on, so it's not suitable for a boxing attire display. Thought I'd take some pics with the sculpt on the body, for those interested to see it anyway.

In person, the body is quite dark compared to the SC body. One might think, because of that, the SC sculpt would look way too light on the ACI body, but it's actually not that bad. I'd personally be okay displaying it, but that's me. The ACI body is kinda stiff to pose (well mine is anyway), but it does look good. Also, you'd need to mod or change the neck joint to fit the SC sculpt on the ACI body. I changed the neck joint, but I think some blutac on the stock ACI neck joint might still work as a quick fix as well. Comparison pic:

Another thing to note, there are at least 2 versions of the ACI Andrew AA body that I know of, & I'm not sure which one I have. I'm guessing the darker one, but I'm not 100% on that.

Because of the staining on the ACI body, I plan on using it for the tracksuit look:

I'm kinda happy with the ACI alternative, but I'm still interested in seeing what other bodies some of you might think suit the Tyson figure better.

thats the body i was lookin at thks Lawrence! wht you think about the HT roadblock with neck painted for the track look? has the double jointed elbows for a tighter peekaboo

I haven't tried testing what the Roadblock body might look like proportionately with the SC sculpt. I'm curious.

I went & had a quick look, & yeah, the HT Roadblock body seems to be too large. I already thought it would be, but wanted to at least look at it before commenting. The tracksuit might not even fit that body properly. It's on the smaller ACI body, & even then it's kind of a snug fit.

Wow. He's complaining about the joints instead of the rubber.
That stress test at the end of the vid. Haha damn he's going at them real hard.

At the beginning of the video you would have thought someone died. :lol Despite all of that ridiculous tough guy "I'm from the streets" exposition I have to admit that the test done on the those limbs, especially the arm, is pretty devastating.

However he is a good point there. If they really did put wire in the arms and legs, this would be a dealbreaker for me.
Personally I have already lost faith in the body. It seems to be no question if, but only whe it will break. I am already looking for a replacement. Storm really needs to go back on the drawing table. They should look into the option of adding another set of arms for future releases and maybe also rework the jointless arms. That Worldbox body seems to be a pretty great work and might also be the way to go for Storm.

I emailed BBTS to see I can cancel this. If not, I guess I am stuck with a statue instead of a action pose figure.

I know people have been askin my opinion on here and now seems to be a good time to answer , any questions ill be checking throughout the night . thanks rick

Wow! I just seen this video. Chicken Wing wire for arms and legs.:lol This gentlemen knows his stuff about Mike. I appreciate his honesty and information. For the record I love my Tyson figure and have no issues yet.

kinda blows my mind that its wires inside those arms, assumed it was like a really skinny reg style 1/6 joint. ughh.

hoping storm will sell the belts with some new arms for our mikes, posed option as per what was mentioend here earlier. etc

btw cheers for the follow up vid/thoughts clipper!:clap

Has the wire joints on anybodies figure actually broke? Not a single person I can think of has mentioned it. It seriously does not seem to be a problem at the moment. It's the rubber that's the issue right now. You start bending the arms & legs crazily like that guy did in his stress test, & the rubber would probably be destroyed before you even care about what's happening to the wire inside .....

I'm thinking his figure had rubber issues, or one of the limbs broke (I didn't say breaking the wire was impossible) or something, hence why he stripped the figure down to it's frame. The wire might not look like much, but it probably does it's intended job. The way the figure feels when I pose it, I'm not really overly concerned about the wire snapping. In fact, now that I see the frame, I might have a bit more understanding why it moves smoothly, & holds poses so well. The stress test might look concerning at 1st, but then you might realise that test might not actually translate into real life use of the figure.

I think the real issue is the rubber, not the frame.

With that said, my peekaboo posed Tyson is still surviving :yess: :lol
