Thanks! That's like $8 USD cheaper right?

I'm guessing those guys don't ship internationally?

Yes there abouts in price difference.

Its a local retailer, so no they dont do any online ordering or shipping.

For international customers, I would really recommend you to buy from BBTS instead. Costs isnt much difference and its hassle free.

Well it is $8 more expensive and I'm guessing at least $10 more expensive in shipping too :lol but I already have my PO at BBTS.

Do you know if there's a chance HLJ or Amiami will carry them?

Shipping costs aside, I would pay a little bit more knowing that if theres anything wrong with the figure (QC issues), BBTS will cover that area and they tend to package things very well in their shipping boxes. Of course they may get their stock in later than in HK, but thats always the case when it comes to figures released over here first. Good side is that you can preorder without paying any deposit up front, where else you have to pay a small amount in HK when ordering toys. So no turning back for me.

As for other online options you mentioned, there isnt any as far as I know. I do check on them on a regular basis, but even if there were, I doubt the prices would make much a difference. Seems very minimal for the figure, its the shipping costs that would make a big difference I think.

Thanks, I'll keep my BBTS PO of course, for the time being, if they pop up in HLJ or Ami Ami, I'll be switching to those.

Hahaha fair play. Theres still a long way before release, so maybe you get your wishes.

I also like amiami too, love their packaging when they ship stuff.

Now I cant wait for them to start showing us more pics for Goro and Sub Zero.

You ever kept in touch with the makers? You met them at one toy fair didn't you?

Yeah thats me:p

I met them the first time at the first Toy Souls event and then after that I met them every so often. Last I met up with them was the BvS film showing a few weeks ago. Was meaning to go to their office last week to catch up on things, but bad weather and a few other matters took over.

Ive been meaning to see them soon, hopefully with a few more topics to talk about from other related threads like Tyson, Hogan, SF and this. Some good things coming up from them which I cant talk about, so hopefully they get around to revealing them soon.

:lol you unknowingly became their PR manager huh?

haha I wish. Everyone thinks I am:p

Im in no way employed by them. I know they have been getting alot of bad rep over a recent figure plus they arent the best in the CS department, but thats not my job to say. lol

I just like some of the stuff they are producing and since I know them now and are able to get some first insights, its nice in a way to be able to share with you all. I dont get anything out of it at all.

What figure have been they getting bad rep over? Was it Bruce Lee? I remember Bruce Lee looked bad when they teased it but they fixed it completely.

Yeah what illproxy said.

There are many that are happy with their figure and many that have concerns with it hence not buying it or disappointed with it. Kind of a mixed camp.

The little Bruce lee statue had some feedbacks but generally positive overall. I'm looking forward to this line knowing how they are going to incorporate changeable features. I had different opinions on this at first but now it's acceptable in my book. Hopefully they'll be able to make a few more variations for this line.

QC issues on more than few i saw per pics/inhand reaction and then the announcement they are doing a new upgrade better one right when the their first "ultimate" ver landed.
:thud:

We are not sure if this new Tyson is a direct upgrade of the same figure. I need to clarify this with the storm guys the next time I meet.

Last time I spoken with them they told me that they were doing a new figure for each phase of Tysons life. What I took from that was one figure for his young phase, another during his peak phase and then another during his final phase. Each with extra tattoos added etc.

I hope that still stands on their side but I need to speak with them to understand more about it.

ahh ok thks chockles :)
i purchased my Tyson looking forward to posing it per all the promo shots via storm then after seeing all the qc issues and joint tearing, wire inside not steel joints i dont even dare pose it. thats alot of money spent for disappointment.

back to MK, look good i like but not any better than say neca or sota SF figs that were like 20 bucks.

It looks much better than Neca imo, the paint seems much cleaner and the plastic looks like better quality, also, articulation is much better too.

Still not good enough for $50 though, but since no one else seems to be doing classic MK, well...

the SOTA figures were a phenomenon of old days when amazing figures were given away at every corner.

will be hard to resist the goro thats for sure, may cave on that if they dont jack up the price for that one too bad. interested to see prod inhand pics.

My pleasure:)

I also made aware to them how many people thought of that figure whilst staying neutral about it. I told them many are happy and also many had concerns and issues. They are fully aware of those. They explained to me that a few of them were attacking them on a personal level and trying to 5h1t stir things and make a big fuss about it. Of course thats words coming from them and not me.

I knew some issues were genuine and they were happy to accept exchanges and work them out with customers. I already explained all the stories and provided email contacts in the main Tyson thread for all to read. Of course we cant please everyone. I know many wanted fully articulated figure and in some sense its yes and no. Many were able to do those poses in the promo shots yet some were not able to. I was surprised many people were not handling the figure with care and expected the figure to do all sorts of tricks and hold its position for long periods of time without any consequences.

So many variables for this case and it will sure to never end. Oh well, enough of that.

Im just glad someone is willing to do the Klassic MK. Will have to see how the final production figure turns out.
