This is so funny beause so many people were bashing the 90's version saying it had to be a Byrne design. I think "if" a Lee version is made, many will be dissapointed. I just dont see how it can be better than this one.

NOTE: Many people have said they would pass on a Lee Jean Grey as well and demand an old school version as well.

I much rather have the Jim lee versions but I will buy both.

I'm so glad we are getting the classic first. I will buy a Jim Lee version as well, but it's one of my least favorite costumes of hers.

This Storm PF isn't Byrne at all. She's all Dave Cockrum!

Nah man. Gotta love some of the 80's/90's clothing trends the creators used. Know we find it horrible, but back then the pouches, short leather jackets and shoulder pads were awesome.
I will def buy the Jim Lee Storm. Even if it's just to complete the X-Men collection. (Unless it's butt-ugly.)

Now I'd like if SSC focused on PFs of Phoenix, classic Nightcrawler & classic Cyclops. Those would go with this Storm and the Wolverine PF perfectly unlike Black Panther or Jim Lee X-Men.

Hey, yeah, you're right. Still awesome, and beautiful. I'm one of the people that voiced that they'd rather not have the Jim Lee era version. I happily have this statue on order.

Correct, and I have BP. Im not cuckoo, I'm maybe too logical. For me it's about the costumes.

Storm's PF uses her original 70s/early 80s costume. The BP PF uses his late 90s/early 2000s costume. He'll also be wearing it again in the upcoming Fantastic Four arc. As far as comic stories go these PFs are from different eras. If this Storm doesn't match the other X-Men PFs on X bases, she doesn't match the BP PF by the same logic: these are not the costumes they wore together.

Of course no one else will care, but that's just how I see it as a fan of the comics for my own display. I like for my characters to match. This particular Storm and BP don't. Might as well pair Mohawk Storm with BP. But to each their own.

personally, I'd preferred her in her Queen attire but even so, I still think they'll go well together, visually

and besides, how many times didn't sideshow do something purely for aesthetics? I just finished my Kratos review and man, so many things were incorrect with that one >_<

while i would have preffered the jim lee silver outfit im going to get this one too.wasnt sure about the face scultp at first but now i like it.i hope she will not have paint cracks problems like psylocke does.being a sideshow fan these days is a scary thing.

A similar thing can be said of the Jim Lee costume. Besides the Jim Lee era/Animated Series, she never wore that silver/white costume any other time.

I agree with you. I think the only way the 90s outfit would work well is like this PF - all sculpted with fabric cape.
