I actually spent some time enjoying my PF's on display today and concluded that I really dont like the X or A bases. I really like the natural environments much more. The smashed ground beneath she hulk, the rocks for cyclops even the rubble emma is standing on...when you line them up next to each other the letters are so boring and actually awkwardly big and make it difficult to pose them next to each other.

:lecture Not a fan of them either. Don't mind the odd one but they could have signed off on the x base with Rogue and Gambit.

Never like the stupid looking red "X" on the bases. I believe that you can have a uniform look without all them have the same base. The only good thing that has come for the "X" base...Gambit & Colossus, we get to see them at full height.

I think the exact opposite xD

It's not the A or X bases per se, I really like "neutral" bases in general more than others. I think they are better for a room. The bases from the women of Marvel series are between my favorites but I really appreciate the A and X ones too.

I concluded the same thing, as long as its some sort of rubble its pretty fun to see the damaged grounds, adds a sense of environment. I was thinking it would be great if SS or someone did special bases for the characters, that would be fun, like releaes a danger room base line or Asteroid M base, jungle base etc for customization.

I agree, the Women of Marvel bases were great. A very good way to do a common style for bases without them being the exact same.

I like a common theme between bases for statues meant to display together. If the 90s X-Men all had different environment bases they'd risk looking weird together. I like the Xs for that reason, but I think every X base didn't have to be a Red X on black (which is the exact opposite of how they mostly appear in the comics, Black X on red). It's kind of lazy and probably saves them money. The Xs should have been individualized in some way like the WoM bases.

These are some great ideals!

Maybe even doing bases that would eventually come together and make one huge diorama battle scene.

^ Good idea. Following Cyclops' rock base as a theme would have worked.

The problem is when all the bases are completely different. For the Avengers it's ok, because despite people displaying them together, all their costumes are really from different eras if you read the comics. But the X-Men's costumes are all from the same period. They needed a common base, just not the same exact base.

The regular face is more calm and serene, shows her blue eyes, and has a more standard hair shape.

The EX face has all white eyes, more of a tempered expression and larger, windblown hair.

Storm should be good with the variant head. I will display the ex head since i dont like the reg one. Hey on a side note colossus can I have your preorder colossus? I suppose your not a colossus fan are you? I miss the PO and really want it?

Thanks Jadah Kalm. I was using my iPhone to check out the gallery photos on SS site so I couldn't see as well. Those links helped!
