Somebody has to sculpt an accurate 1/4 scale helmet for this guy.

This has to be done.

Why buy an expensive collectible, then mod it yourself. I'd just wait until they do another one down the line if you don't like the helmet now. I'd hate to spend 300, then basically devalue it by changing it from the retail version.

We will never get a movie accurate helmet from GG or SSC because of Lucasfilm. They don't want movie accurate, they want a symmetrical amalgam of the helmets from the 3 movies.

Per Lucasfilm licensing at C5, it will never happen.

It amazes me how LFL is able to protect their brand so well.
The lawyers must work 'round the clock because they really don't let much slip between the cracks.

Well when you get a license EVERY single item you plan to sell must go through there license department for approval.

There lawyers arent that busy if they were they would be after everyone who takes orders for mass produced custom items. (even on a small scale).

Well, they have time to shut down stuff like this -
https://gothamist.com/2011/07/07/george_lucas_vs_bay_ridge_fanboys.php

And promote unlicensed material like this -

So who knows. :dunno

Well first one probably was due to the marketing they did. Over market it so it hits LFLs radar yeah they are going after you.

Second one sounds like they guy was approved so it would not be technically unlicensed.

Remember this is the company that has probably the most bootlegs made ever.

I honestly don't know if they care about the movies anymore. I mean, all of his movies combined have made $4.4 billion lifetime so far (and this is without the DVD/Blu sales), while his toys have made over $13.5 billion. :thud:

Seems like it's pick and choose with LFL, or if you ruffle their feathers you better watch out. To bring this back into Stormtrooper talk, take the legal battles between SDS and Lucas.

Gotta say the Stormtrooper and Emperor PF looked pretty bad in the pictures from SDCC. Glad the 1/6 versions turned out better :lol

Guess it could just be the photos then... but everything just looks too tall and lean on them :huh But glad to hear in person they look better.
