figured out the invite thing. you can't do it on ranked matches. only player matches.

by the way, what does BPs do?

BP's is used in the ranking. Outside that it has no purpose I believe. So did you just sent out invites or did you have to have a specfic setting? A few of us(and others from what i've read) are having trouble connecting to invite matches.

Well im on the PSN, but yeah i sent out invites and my friend sent me an invite which we both had no problems joining up and battling.

It was a good Street Fighter IV haul day for me. Since I was at work, the wifey picked me up a Ryu fightpad, SFIV CE with the headband. Then my co worker told me his friend from gamestop told him they got an extra TE fightstick and if I want it and of course I picked it up after work.:rock Don't know if it's tears of joys or not cuz it cost me well over $270 today, plus I got the SE fightstick on preorder at amazon.

I'll be getting this tomorrow from Gamefly. :joy I'm gonna get myself warmed back up to SF playing by myself for a little while, then maybe I can get some matches in with you guys. :D

I have to say, I enjoy Soul Calibur much more than this. I never played the Street Fighter games, but I just don't like how it plays. Looks really good though.

That's understandable. I assume that you don't play a lot of other 2D fighting games? (i.e. Guilty Gear, King of Fighters, and the other Capcom stuff)

If you were expecting something along the lines of SC, Tekken, or Virtua Fighter when you picked up SFIV, then disappointment would probably set in. The SF games (and 2D fighters in general) aren't comparable to 3D fighters like the ones mentioned above. Totally different games even though at the very core all you're really doing is beating the crap out of your opponent.

Being an fan of SF since SSF2Turbo, I'm loving this. But it's not like you have to be a hardcore fan to enjoy it.

So far I'm loving the game picked it up on the PS3 was originally going with 360 but my friends all have PS3 so this made more sense. Unlocking Akuma was relatively easy, Gouken was more of a pain just because of the Ultras being a condition. I'll work on Seth tomorrow. Online I find so far its difficult to find a good connection when I do the room is often full. Game is great and I'm glad I got the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 for it, playing with a controller would not have been pleasant.

Well I'm not forking out the money for an arcade stick, so it'll have to be the controller for me. Honestly though, I've never used arcade sticks much and have used controllers for pretty much everything, so I know I'll be fine. :D

meh...i'm sick of this game already. gonna trade it in next week when i pick up killzone. tired of playing all the way through the game only to get beat by Seth because of how incredibly cheap he is.

That's the only thing I'm worried about, the difficulty. I'm gonna have it turned down to the easiest setting for sure.

On easiest the A.I still tries to challenge you as you get closer to the end. Seth is still a jerk on Easiest, I spent an hour trying to beat him with Chun Li on easiest.

i know, its retarded. i make it up to seth without losing a match, kick his butt in the first round without much of a problem. the second and third round he just gets ridiculously cheap.

Well that doesn't sound good. If I end up having that much trouble too, I'm gonna be really disappointed and frustrated. :banghead

Yeah arcade mode is a chore that i'll never go back to once i've unlock all the characters. It's not like I (or many ppl) bought this game for single player.

In regards to Seth, he gets a bump in difficulty when you are trying to unlock Akuma and Gouken (from what I've read on Shoryuken.com).

Well I always get my ass kicked when I play fighting games online, so I usually do stick to single player. By the looks of it though, I'm gonna get my ass kicked there too. :lol :monkey2

lol...me too. i just wish we could enter cheat code or something to unlock akuma. seems like he should be a regular character by now. i really wanted to play as gouken too...looks like that wont happen.
