It's 50/50 on PSN. some guys are really amature but some are pretty good, even with the new characters.

Havent come across anyone thats good with the new characters yet and thats in about 200 matches or so. Alot of Ken players(poor bastards) and alot of Zangiefs and Akumas....a then theres always a few that try the blanks cheese also.

LOL it's like basically my 2nd SF game...I haven't played in years, I'm mostly an action/ shooter guy. It'll take me awhile to get used to it.

Just messin' with you bro! I was going for a kind of Doc Holliday thing there haha. Another cheap way you might want to try and beat him is with Blanka. Just stay back and pretty much block if he comes towards you sweep him, when he jumps hit him with the lightning. As with any of the guys i've tried so far if he sucks you in hit him with a jumping HK. Sounds like you just need a little bit of practice and with that your timing will get better! Once you finally beat this jackass it'll be worth all the frustration haha! I'm tellin' ya, try him with that Zangief strategy, he should be cake on easy for sure.

My best friends son is a bad ass with Abel, he gives me a run for my money even when i use Zangief or Vega.

Exactly, I thought this guy was relatively easy actually. Maybe this just isn't your game Jedistarkiller.
yeah but i have to play it on very easy to stand a chance. for some reason Seth is the ultimate pain in the butt to beat. the first round he barely stands a chance, but the second and third rounds it gets ridiculously cheesy. i've only beaten him with Ken and Ryu...i gave up after trying with Sakura. i don't know how or why but he always gets me frustrated to the point of just throwing the controller on the couch and turning the xbox off.

I really like the Trophies for the PS3 version of this.
Also I read that sales for Xbox360's and PS3's in Japan have increased thanks to this game

I'm sure they have, this franchise is epic! Street Fighter was really one of the games that revolutionized the whole gaming industry. It was the first (and still best) of it's kind

Yeah! I just reached 1500 bp online! The only bad side to that is, if I happen to lose to a lower bp player, I lose 100-150 bp per match.

With that said, I want to mention another complaint I have with the online system Capcom implemented: Matchmaking, or the lack thereof. I wish the game had the option to match me with players of similar skill or higher. I know there's an option to filter for better players, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Other games can do it, why can't SFIV?

I'm tired of playing against a dozen Ryu players and even more Kens.

Yes, in the very next sentence after the one you emboldened in your quote, I mentioned that there is a filter, but it doesn't seem to do much. The results are still erratic, and sometimes it's a match against an opponent with 1000 or higher bp, and the next dozen it's 500 or under.

I don't know if the bp of the opposing player is shown on his/her gamercard, I haven't checked (and even if it is, that's quite a hassle), but the only way to see a players' bp is after the match is over.

I'd love to play with you, but I'm on PS3. I'd like to buy a 360 copy sometime down the line.

I'll bet it's because of the volume of players on line at the time. the filter is going to look for players with similar skill to begin with and then it will go to whatever it can find, just like it does in halo. Depends on how many really good players are searching for a match at the time.

Just went to Best Buy, Target, Gamestop, and Walmart to try and pick up the CE of the game. Decided to head over to gamecrazy to see what was what and they had 2 copies for both ps3 and xbox. They also had Ryu/Ken controllers for 360 and Ken/Chun for PS3, as well as the arcarde street fighter sticks.
