I'm getting owned online with this game. Somebody perfect me twice with Rose. The fact is I take all challenges, but when I challenge somebody they always turn me down :(

I get that all the time...it sucks. Also match making is a pain in the ass cause theres never any higher skilled players or same skilled players online and beating people on stability in a ranked match gives me only +1 or 5 Bp at this point. :(

After much anticipation picked this up the other day and I gotta say.....this game is crap. The original was about moves and strategy and planning. Spent entire summer vacations playing SF II and had it down to a science. Loved that game. In this one a bunch of anime BS happens and suddenly you've lost a match for reasons you don't even understand. I dunno, maybe I'm a dinosaur or just frustrated but the fact that this game has "Street Fighter" printed on the front of it just seems downright wrong to me. Might as well have a dragon uppercut replaced by a bunch of hot anime girls getting screwed by alien tentacles. It's a damn shame.

wtf are you talking about? If you expect to be playing SFII then why dont you get SFII?

Implying that SFIV is NOT about strategy, moves, and planning is retarded. There's more strategy than ever now that there is the revenge system, focus attacks, and super combos.

Honestly dude...Have no idea what you mean. I, like you played SFII to a science. This game captures that SFII feel perfectly and throws on a new coat of next-gen graphics to boot. "suddenly you've lost a match for reasons you dont understand"...huh? If you play the game for more than a few minutes, you'll understand that its like any technical fighter. You get better with practice. Like they say, minutes to pick-up, lifetime to master.

yeah sounds like he's not very good to begin with if you can't see that the foundation of the dynamics are based on SFII with the additions of some of the better aspects taken from the later sequels.

The only thing I didn't like initially was it felt less fluid. I believe that was in part do to me getting so used to games like Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Street Fighter III with multiple super gauge systems, running, dashing, guard canceling, parrying, guard parrying etc. and having to backpedal to an almost completely different play style once Super Turbo HD came out. I was just getting used to it again when I started playing IV, so some of the movement didn't agree with me, but once I played for a bit longer and got used to utilizing focus attacks, EX moves, the revenge gauge and had the ability to dash again I love it just as much as any other game in the series. I just think a lot of people expected "Street Fighter II with next gen graphics," but that's what Super Turbo HD was for. I think anyone that just plays the game for a little while and hates it because it's not exactly like SFII isn't giving the game a real chance. Stop trying to play it like SFII, and start playing it like SFIV. The game is just as technical, or even more so due to the new additions to mix it up, as SFII ever was.

I love the game but i completely disagree with this, all the revenge system does is give a player who's getting his ass handed to him a chance to catch up. Not to mention that the super combos have been around for ages now. The focus system is just a revamped idea for the old counters they put in as well.

The thing i really miss about the original is who pissed ken and ryu sounded when they pulled off the uppercut. They actually sounded like they wanted to kill you! Even Guile sounded cooler way back then. Now they sound like a punch of pussies! That's why I like Balrog, he sounds like a bad ass when he's throwing those monster punches.

lol :lol so what exactly do you disagree with? Having the revenge system be the way it is DOES make it more strategic like i said. you can't just whoop someone from the start of the round and feel like youve got this one in the bag. geez, now we're judging games by character voices too? damn some of you are whiny.

I am whiny, They sound like a bunch of little girls and I don't like it. And I don't think giving a loser the chance to catch up with one movehas anything to do with strategy. A guy sitting back getting wasted and sitting on the Ultra isn't what i call a strategy. I said I like the game, It just has a few things i don't like about it so settle down there Nash

I dont need to settle down, youre just not making very much sense. but im glad that at least you agree you are whiny.

No matter if the loser "sits back" as you put it, the one ultra isnt going to demolish your life bar but it does give you something to 'think' about to *PLAN your next moves.

*usually planning has something to do with strategy

:lol

Thanks Nash, but i don't need you to tell me about strategy. Just cuz i don't agree with you doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. I don't need to plan on it cuz i block well enough that i don't get hit by the ultra's very often anyways. Zangief and Akuma being the exceptions since their's aren't blockable. And the Ultra's do plenty to your life bar if you are caught full force with one. Sounds like you are the one who doesn't know what the hell you are talking about.
