wtf are you talking about? If you expect to be playing SFII then why dont you get SFII?

Implying that SFIV is NOT about strategy, moves, and planning is retarded. There's more strategy than ever now that there is the revenge system, focus attacks, and super combos.

Revenge/Ultra system is the worst thing about SFIV IMo. It rewards players for sucking.

Theres litterally nothing innovative about this game. But it's still somewhat fun.

That's what I was saying, but apparently that makes no sense so be careful uttering those words! I love the game cuz im a huge street fighter fan, but none of this is new stuff! NONE OF IT. It's all been around since SFII Super Turbo. How's this for a strategy though............... I put guys teeth through the back of their head with Balrog. Ya see how much thought I put into that?

But seriously, who is everyone's favorite guy to use. Mine is Balrog even though he's not my best. I love beating guys with over 2000 points with him and hearing them swear the whole time i'm pounding their face in!!! It's very satisfying.

You don't need to suck to take advantage of the Revenge meter. For example, if you use the Focus attack to absorb hits you can charge up your Revenge meter without taking damage. Look, Ma...strategy.

I stand corrected! There ya go lol. Does anyone know why Gouken isn't named Sheng Long? He's supposed to be Ryu's master in this, but in the old games he was always referred to as Sheng Long. Just curious....

I don't understand why people are bashing the super/ultra combos and saying they reward sucky players. I mean, how many sucky players can do the charge ultras like for Guile?

And if the super or ultra hits you, isn't that your own fault? Each one is blockable in their own way, and if you don't realize that Zangief is getting close to you to grab you with his, or Sakura's hits you low, then you deserve to get caught by them.

Sure, I hate it when I get caught by an ultra that brings me close to the brink of death. However, I hate the old school "strategists" who only use ryu and ken and lob fireballs over and over much more than someone who gets in a good normal chain combo that finishes with a special move, and interrupts it with a connecting super or ultra to take off half my life.

Oh yea its sweet but its his ability to zone or corner lock that make him awesome to use. I wish I could just find some higher ranked players to go agianst on ranked...i'm to the point now that searchs to find same skilled or higher(unless I search for japan players).

I just got online today for the first time, so my points aren't all that high yet. And you want to talk about cheese!!!! I was fighting a guy earlier, I was Balrog and he was Guile, he had over 2500 points. I beat him down bad, i think he hit me 3 times tops the first round, then he goes into the stand back with sonic booms and jumping HK since he knows i don't have any projectiles and beats me the next round. So the 3rd round i adjust and right when i about to finish him off he disconnects and I don't get credit for the win! I was so pissed!!!!

I hate when that happens. I'm at 3075(206 ranked wins) Bp right now and I get only +1 Bp for anyone I beat that under 1000 Bp and from 1000 Bp up it varies from 10 Bp- 50 Bp.


I did get my ass kicked earlier by a Japan player using Akuma(3-2 in a best of 5). It was a good learning experance though.

You cant see it.

Oh, the people who I do a quick challenge with I noticed if they make a crying face they are actually good with high BP, but the people who makes angry face has low BP. That's just my experience. I have harder time challenging USA fighters vs Japan fighters. My connection with Japan fighters is better, BTW I'm located in Hawaii. Who here plays with Guile? I also have hard time challenging him. I need practice.

Guile can be cheap as hell. Just make sure to stay on the defensive against them and wait til you get your opening for a good combo. I'm not that great with Guile at all, but there are some bad asses with him out there.

Yea he's big time defensive/zone character. People love to milk his low kicks in close so watch out for that when you get inside agianst a Guile fighter.
