Hmm... just got one of the Fightpads, and it's quite odd... it feels fat and i just realized that I'm too used to the 4-face buttons/2 shoulder button controller combo, so i'm having a lot of trouble using it.

I don't think I can return it since I opened it, but I'm gonna stick with it for a while and see how I adapt.

i had thought about picking up one of those sticks, but couldnt really see how all to comfortable or easy it would be to use it in a good way. Gotta say that they do seem pretty thick which was kind of a bad thing. Really couldnt compare it to a 36o controller but from what it looked like in hand it looked bigger. Have no need for it now that I was able to get the fightstick last week.

Which character did you end up picking for it?

haha... I think my avatar says it all. =)

But yeah, I didn't think it'd be so thick. I'm a pretty small guy (5'5"), so dont have the biggest hands... I kind of have to stretch my fingers toward the middle of the controller. I think the fightpads were designed for the 6' tall American. =(

I prefer my fightpad over the fightstick, it would probably be vice versa if I started using the fightstick before the fightpad. Well I'm 5'8" and it's no problem for me, probably you got to get use to it.

So true. I'm starting to use Guile a lot, but I refuse to turtle and just flash kick; instead, I'm [trying] to play strategically and fairly with his limited skill set. I try to mix my attacks up as much a possible, and yes, I sometimes do his double leg sweep too much (mainly because of his lack of special moves), but its no where near as much as the ryu/ken repetitions of cheapness.

Yeah, I want to win, but I don't mind losing to a skilled player who earned the win through a crushing win or just barely edging me out. I just don't see the point of playing cheap just to win the fight.

you just need an ethernet cable or the wireless adaptor. you also need to subscribe to xbox live to play against people.

1. An ethernet cable or an Xbox 360 Network Adapter (for wireless connection)

2. Xbox Live Gold Membership.

I'm guessing you already have an ethernet cable, but if you want to go wireless you'll need that network adapter for your Xbox. It's more expensive that way unless you bought an Elite bundle.

You can buy an Xbox Live Gold Membership card from most retail stores or you can go on Amazon.com. You can also buy purchase the membership directly through Xbox Live, but generally I'd try to buy the cards from a retail store or Amazon as it will save you money.

I'm assuming you don't need step by step instructions.
