Yes yes yes!!!! I'm not complaining at all about it being bigger, but I'm curious why. Is it more because it is such a popular dinosaur?

I think it has more to do with anatomy than popularity..lol if made roughly the same size as the other maquettes it's plates will be above the T-Rex's head. All those plates will just make him massive looking.

Ankylosaurus would be good, but not as a maquette. I would rather him be in an attacking pose in a VS Dio. Maybe against a couple juvenile tyannosaurs that don't know any better ? :D

I hope the Stego will be a maquette and not a dio.

It's a maquette for now.

A Saichania defending itself from young Tarbosaurs would make a great dio imo...

Especially considering that Saichania's overall body is armored heavily and is one of the largest ankylosaur discovered so far....

Tarbosaurs would be cool..a tyrannosaur that isn't exactly Rex...but I would like to save them for a Tarbo VS Therzinosaur piece... ;)

All those thin plates could be problematic. Hopefully they'll take extra packing precautions.

Thanks Scar. I'll turn to the experts for an anatomy lesson! I always thought that the T-Rex was larger than the Stegosaurus.

An Ankylosaurus would look really cool in a dio, but I like the maquettes so much more so I'd like to see one that way as well.

Well the styrac was fine and it has a lot bits too...the plates will prob be as thick as the frill on the Trike or Styrac.

I'm just not sure it has much potential on it's own..Ankylosaurs just don't "pop" unless they are in a battle.

Maybe not. I think they look pretty awesome alone though. But really for me I prefer the maquettes over the dios so no matter what one it is I'd take the maquette. When I get the dio its more for the scene itself and not the dinosaur. I think that may be why I like the Deino and Allo dios, but the Trike doesn't attract me all that much.

I just shuffled my Dinosauria pieces around yesterday so as to easily make room for the Deinosuchus. Thank God, too. The girlfriend spilled a cup of coffee today right where the T.rex VS Triceratops dio was. That would have put a fair bit of strain on the relationship. :lol

If your dio had been ruined, you could have bought another, thus helping out the Dinosauria line.:naughty j/k I'm glad nothing was damaged.

Whew, talk about a close call.

I've recently invested in some Bestas to display my figures and I've discovered that the dinosaria figures thus far fit perfectly in them. If they keep to to a maximum height of 13 or so inches I can display six shelves which equals 8-12 pieces depending on their size. And let me just say that the T-Rex at eye level is simply stunning.

It was the most fearful I'd ever seen her, and also the largest number of times to date that she has ever apologized to me for any one grievance. She'll be drinking coffee in the kitchen from now on. :lol

One time someone set a soda can on my bookshelf. I nearly died. I can't imagine if something actually spilt. :lol

When she had this fearful look about her, were you by chance still covered in gore from the bodies of innocent poultry?

She knows all too well how seriously I take my collectibles, let alone my dinosaur collectibles. Bless her heart, the first Christmas present she ever got me was the JP Barbasol can. She had good reason to be afraid. I'd never raise a hand to her, but I'd surely hurt someone/something she cares for deeply in order to make a point. :lol :peace

I wouldn't dream of harming any of our pets out of retribution. But she knows better than anyone that there is rarely malice in my retribution. Only exacting fairness. :D :gun

:lol Eye for an eye? I seem to recall someone on here once did something stupid or bad or something and offered to let his significant other break one of his collectibles in retribution. She declined the offer though.
