Well, except for the T. rex maquette and Brachiosaurus hatchling, my other Dinosauria statues has some defects(sculpt or in paint apps) possibly due to rough handling, shipping and delivery process or poor QC during production, but since it takes too much time and money for a replacement, I just keep what I get.

But if something arrives in a horrendous condition (luckly, which hasn't happened so far), I would definitely consider of getting a replacement or a refund.

Likewise, I am wondering why haven't the Allosaurus VS Camarasaurus sold out yet? And that is for both the Regular and Ex Editions.

And based on the previous Dinosauria items, the ES for these are not exactly high (around 100 to 250 for the Ex and 250 to 500 for the Regular). At this rate, SS will probably drop this line faster than we can shout "Dinosaurs".

That's odd. Hopefully SS doesn't drop the line, it has such a low ES. This is the only SS line I faithfully collect. I have every piece released and have pre-ordered all the future releases too.

SS will drop this line at some point im sure of it....question is when. Im not looking forward to it ether as I also collect mainly this line from SS. I have every piece released so far....hoping they do more maquettes in the future though over dio's.

Chris

If SS drops this line, then it would be a real disaster for Dinosaur fans but I do have the fear that SS will eventually drop this line in the near future....

Anyways, this line is also my first priority in not only collecting Dinosaurs, but model collecting in general...

Sadly I stopped at T-Rex, which I don't even have anymore. He just didn't fit in my collection.

I haven't compared the sizes of the dios and maquettes, but it seems to me that each time Sideshow releases a new dino the price goes up. That's a turnoff for me. Perhaps if Sideshow would remain consistent in pricing and not cut corners in other areas, then I'd be more faithful to collecting a line.

Judging from the planned pieces so far the line is doing fine as far as Sideshow is concerned.

Do we have confirmation on what the upcoming pieces are? I would really love this line to continue. While I am not into the dios, I love the maquettes and own all 3. I NEED a stegosaurus and brachiosaurus!

I prefer the solitary maquettes to the dios, but I really don't mind that the dios are stretched out at intervals.

Apparently your first wish is in the upcoming line up.

The Stego is going to be monstrous in proportion. Potentially the largest piece in the line thus far (though perhaps eclipsed by the Allo VS Camara dio in size). We may not see that until SDCC, though.

I love that my favorite dinosaur is going to be bigger than any others. I just hope I don't have to sacrifice too much to get it.

I have all 4 pieces so far but i'm thinking of dropping the line, do to financial stress. Something tells me not to do it. I don't know what to do, I guess I will continue until I can't anymore. In the worst case I will sell them. Do you guys think that the pieces will go up once these items are sold out, due to their realism and great detail?

Sorry to hear about your experience. They've always treated me quite well so I can't say as I've ever had a comparable situation. At least it'll give you funds to allocate elsewhere.

Thanks, Scar. I'm still going to get the Maquettes, which I think are great, but I'm dropping the dios. They're all excellent pieces, but I don't have much confidence in Sideshow's QC or customer service right now and I want our paths to cross as little as possible after recent experiences. I'm still excited about the Steg and Spino Maquettes though.

As to PRTCLR's question of whether these pieces will go up in value, I think they might go up a little but not too much. There just aren't enough people interested to force up the secondary market prices very much. I get the feeling this Dinosauria line will remain something of an undiscovered pleasure to most collectors of Sideshow's products.

Those plates on Stego are def going make it a large piece...but the Spino has been confirmed as larger than the Rex and with that sail...I wouldn't count it out of the " biggest " contest yet... ;)

There are prob pieces enough to get us into early 2011 right now, depending on how they are released.

I would like to see an Allo maquette to go along side this Stego..much like the Rex got a VS and maquette...wouldn't both me at all... heh heh

yup. stego has kinda been confirmed by an inside source. it should happen this year.

Yes yes yes!!!! I'm not complaining at all about it being bigger, but I'm curious why. Is it more because it is such a popular dinosaur?

I think an Allosaurus maquette would be cool as well. I'd like to see a Triceratops too. But since both of these already have skulls as exclusives they would have to come up with a different exclusive. I hope that doesn't deter them. Of course there are so many other dinosaurs I think that will be the most likely reason for not visiting some of these others. I think the Rex is just too popular to not do in both forms.

i still wanna see an ankylosaurus. don't let me down sideshow.

I posted some concept art a while back taken from a Sideshow artist's gallery. One image contained an Ankylosaurus, so there's a good chance your prayers will be answered.
