ok, just got this email from GG after I sent them a nasty albeit professionally worded email of my own:
"Hi,
Thanks for contacting us.
The Baby Doll was a limited edition of 500. We do fulfill the wholesale orders, but they decide which orders they want to fulfill we have no control over what the wholesalers decide to do with their allocation, or if they sell more than they are allotted
If you join the Premiere Guild you will be able to buy all of our products. We are making the Baby Doll Japanese variant for all of the people that were unable to get the regular Baby Doll Statue.

This is such BS. what wholeseller is going to sell more than they are allotted knowing they are gonna have to screw over customers and give themselves a bad rep. It seems like GG knew this would happen and then came up with "members only" and "japanese variant" plan to just hike up prices to those who got screwed out of the regular edition. how can you even justify raising the price on the japanese variant with just a one hand weapon swap where you dont even get both hand options!?!? and then forcing people to join the PMG and pay $60 to even have an OPTION of paying the ridiculous price on the variant version. what a load of bull!!!

Fanboy Collectibles... taking orders for 200+... either they were naive enough to expect to receive 50% of the ES or.....

I think GG actually was taken completely by surprise by how well the initial batch of 500 sold and scrambled to increase the ES without pissing off the ppl who already ordered so they came out with a new 'variant' to increase their ES. Shady to be sure, but its business. In fact if the second batch of 500 sells out so quick I would not be surprised to see a third variant. Because from a business point of view why would you make the first item in a lineup to be so limited... it will just reduce the number of ppl who will order the next 4 characters.

That 925 Barb posted is not bidded on. I HIGHLY doubt it sold for that. Stop driving the prices up people using ebay prices that are most likely skewed by some collector. Who's gonna pay almost a grand for a statue that is barely out? I call BS.

Apparently you are unskilled at finding items that have actually sold, so you should be wary upon whom you call BS. It did sell. That is all. Next time, do a little research. Type in Baby Doll Gentle Giant and sort the order as Price + Shipping: Highest First. Click Completed Listings on the left side of the page. Then see what listing is at the top of the page. BAM, SUCKA!!! Now step off and go eat your crow in peace!
