I'm not so much fatigued to the point where I don't have interest in seeing them. But the saturation has gotten so high that there is almost no novelty factor anymore. Almost any announcement at this point gets a reaction of "oh, okay I guess it's time for this character".

My problem with this whole thing is that there is only so much you can make things "epic" before they start to become repeatable.

Look at Guardians of the Galaxy. The McGuffin was another one of those Infinity Gems. In the backstory we were shown that it could instantly wipe out a whole planet with its power. But on screen all we saw the bad guy do was throw people back a few feet with the blast.

They are obviously building up to the Infinity Gauntlet. But if they can't even effectively convey the threat of one ludicriously powerful gem, what is five of them put together going to look like? I have a bad feeling all this godlike power is just going to be is Thanos blowing a couple of explosions in buildings while the Avengers fight his henchman.

Case in point: LOTR. As much as I enjoy the films, you can read people's exhaustion from their review of 5 Armies. The law of diminishing returns eventually takes its toll. Now when is that new Star Wars coming out? :D

Star Wars is interesting in that it came in threes. Instead of doing the PT right after they waited ten years so it went away for about then came roaring back rather than ongoing constantly

With the TV shows yes they are mediocre at best and since we fan boys will accept anything they keep on limping along, movies are a better test to whether the finished product is any good since they aim for a more broad audience. And if they do well its based on a good production unlike these show which rely on a biased fan base.

I'm still confused as to why dc kept its shows seperate from the movies. You'd think flash would make a great entrance into the world....... Ah well

I think it's smarter to do that, it doesn't restrict their films in anyway. Marvel's shows so far have been terrible, but I think that'll change with Daredevil.

I thought Carter was a snooze fest and so predictable ..I can't watch AoS.....

I think Gotham and Flash are far far better...DC may want to stick to tv..Marvel rules the theatrical world...

Guess peep not feeling the super hero fatigue since this thread went to page 10. And we're getting continuous hero movies, back to back.

In the grand scheme of things, our opinions of everything we chat about on this board, doesn't mean much.
