I don't think its necessarily superhero movie fatigue but hype fatigue.

They're hyped so much and it's getting earlier and earlier with movies being announced years in advance

That is what is irritating me about the whole thing. Stop ****ing putting release dates on sequels before the current film is even ****ing out! The announcement of Avengers 3 & 4 has in fact dulled my excitement for Avengers 2 since it is clear before I even see the damn thing that Ultron is small fries.

Also, I can't help but think about what age I'm gonna be when these sequels arrive in 20 ****ing 20, or what age my older brother or my mum & dad are going to be. So please ****ing stop. There's really no need for us to know.

I agree. I was pumped for Age of Ultron to give me my Cap fix but after Civil War and Infinity War were announced this year suddenly feels like filler while we wait for the good stuff. No reason they had to do that.

:exactly: One does assume they're coming regardless of an announcement and an official release date, it's enough just to know that.

Even worse is the likes of Terminator Genisys getting sequels announced even before they see how Genisys performs. They clearly learnt nothing from T4. Just cop the **** on.

Might see: Gambit, Wolverine 3, Ms Marvel, Green Lantern Reboot, second Spider-Man reboot.

Is it "Wolverine 3" because Origins is the first? I really enjoyed the Wolverine, except for the last third of the movie. If they cut the silly stuff, I think the sequel will be great.

Come to think of it, there are a lot of superhero movies I'm looking forward to:

Batman V Superman
Deadpool
Aquaman
Suicide Squad
Captain America: Civil War
Spider-man Reboot
Wonder Woman
Black Panther
Green Lantern
Batman Solo
Superman Sequel
Justice League
Wolverine 3

Although, I don't mind if I don't see any of these movies. Right now, I just want to watch Daredevil!

Not really. All that proves is that he's not into superhero movies. And if every other movie is a superhero movie, then I'm missing a lot of them.

There are plenty of other movies out that someone can see.

No, that's not what it proves. I'm into any movie that's good regardless of genre. The Superhero genre is just regurgitated time after time and most are really boring. Batman '89 was my favorite overall movie for the longest time. Then when Iron Man came out, that became my favorite. look at this list and tell me there isn't too many Superhero movies List of American superhero films - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and 3/4 of them boring as ****.

Ya and it seems like these are the only movies that get marketed now. Other movies you hear of one month before release and a month later they are on blu ray.

It's like other studios don't even bother now, besides SW I can't think of anything else coming out this year

If there is any fatigue it's because most of them are formulaic.
Marvel movies are boring to me.
The new trailer for avengers looks like the first one.
Give me more crazy balsy stuff like Watchmen or the flawed MOS.

QFT:exactly:

I am experiencing serious trailer fatigue. Do event films really need 3 different two and a half minute trailers? I've gone back to avoiding them. I only watched the very first BOTFA teaser and thankfully didn't have moments like "Leave Saruman to me" and various final duel matchups spoiled.

The first The Force Awakens trailer was AWESOME and now I'm DONE. I don't need to see any more, I get the look and the tone (very old school) and got a taste of the new characters. Now I just want to see the movie without having things all spelled out.

New Age of Ultron trailer? Forget it. I skipped it. I don't need any more money shots to be old hat before I see the film.

Instant Gratification Generation.

They need to keep seeing more and more and more. Pretty much spoils flicks.

I remember back in the day looking at the back of a GIJoe card at the characters and being surprised when seeing on I want on the shelf.

Yup. I skipped all the GOTG clips and things they were showing and then when I went back and watched them after I saw the movie I was surprised at how many of the best/funniest lines had been spoiled.

Plus the little blogs and tweets and things are just stupid. Singer making people wet themselves because he posts a picture of himself sitting on his couch holding a pen or the thing with Leto shaving. Give me a break.

Those days are long gone.

I loved cardbacks as a kid. I used to use them as a sort of wish list. There was always something new, something I never saw before. The best thing was getting a vehicle or a playset because more times than not, Kenner or Hasbro packed in this cool little catalog booklet featuring all of their toys. There was always a surprise in there.

By extension going into a store completely 'blind', having no idea what you might find. The internet has ruined all that. Not that I would now do without the internet.

I remember finding a carded Biker Scout the month that ROTJ came out. I thought he looked so badass and it was so cool to flip the card over and see the full ROTJ line-up. Now cardbacks are tiny and maybe show two or three other figures tops. Lame.

And even though I didn't collect MOTU (though I had He-Man, Stratos, and Beast Man) it was fun to drool over the fully painted renderings of all the other characters on the backs of the cards, even if the figures themselves didn't look that awesome. :lol

I don't think there's even a line up of figures on the cardback anymore. They stopped doing that unless it's some vintage throw back cards like GI Joe 25th Anniversary or Vintage Star Wars Collection. Now it's usually a bunch of tri-language crap.

This is what kids get now,

Well said-!! MOS and such "failures" to me are far more interesting and unique than what I see is a disturbing Marvel trend of regurgitating stock ideas and situations that WORKED in prior films with some slight afjustments. I think AOU will be dynamite BUT IT BETTER NOT END with a huge battle in the streets of a big city with massive destruction and Tony saving the day..
