Yep. I'm close to 30 and it's hard to believe. Still, we "older" people shouldn't always disregard things just because they're hip or young. Although, I admit, I'm guilty of a healthy dose of Justin Beiber smack talk, lol.

Thirty is old. It's not "old man" old, but it's "older." Hence, my original post.

Further proof of this, 30 is the age you wake up and start feeling like **** and find out you suddenly gained ten pounds overnight.

30 isn't old. When you reach 50 you'll be middle aged and still not old.

Age is a number......means ****. I know people your age that act 80 and I know 80 year olds that have more get up and go than alot of 30 year olds.

Too me, old is when you know longer care or are able to care about living anymore, and that can be any age.

Middle aged? Ween, I'm afraid you're off by a decade at least. At any rate, I'll be lucky to see my 60s, with my family history.

Granted, I don't smoke or drink my guts out.

Anyway, thirty is the first step towards old age. That was even more the case in days past. It's not a new concept and seeing fifty likely won't change that perspective either, simply because I look back and begin to formulate some deeper understanding of "youth."

I think some forget that the average life expectancy is only in the high 60s. Also, the metabolism drop around 30 is yet another indication of the reaper's grasp. Sure, you can adjust and adapt to the change, but that doesn't negate it.
