If eating meat keeps me from being a sanctimonious bore then carve me up another leg of lamb.

:rock

A lacto ovo one is still likely, but you still don't accept the cause and effect relationship between eating animal products and cardiovascular disease. Besides, it is cruel and unnecessary to sacrifice hundreds of animals so just one indulgent human with a taste for blood can eat them. It's poetic justice that a meat eater should die as a result of eating animal flesh.

And as I said before, the pleasure you take in the death of those who do not share your ethical fetish is more disgusting than the habits you abhor. Sucking milk from a goat is far cleaner.

It's still sad when people die. It's just that those who practice unhealthy habits ask for it. Those who drink kill themselves, those who smoke kill themselves and others, and those who eat animal flesh kill themselves, the animals, and destroy the environment which destroys all life on the planet. (However, the environmental problem is caused because so much is consumed. If far less were, as in sustainable hunting of wild animals, then this would not be the case.) Overpopulation causes the destruction of the environment due to non sustainable flesh demand.

The unnecessary killing of innocent creatures to eat them is always morally inferior. It's evil.

Jesus Ate Fish bro, Jesus ate fish...

see the sad thing is that you are mostly right, our meat consumption is destroying theenvironment, too many cows, meat production is slowly destroying the planet, meat production is doing more harm to the environment than all the cars in America combined,

the problem is that you have such a hollier than thou attitude about your plant eating habits that, this is the reason people call vegans hippies and comies and all that, because even if what you are saying is right, your smugness makes people go: F__k that noise, Serve me another stake will ya, F__ this planet and all those Tree hugging hippies"

and seriously, I have nothing against you personally, I don't dislike you or anything at all, it's just the way you talk,
other hipster Starbucks drinking Vegans talk as well, which pisses people off, my rants here are not about you only, but about the people that use vegan as a reason to be arrogant
not to account for how the oil dependency we have is also destroying the planet, unless you say you own a hybrid, and please tell me you use a mac :lol

If Baby Jesus didn't want us to eat animals he would have given them guns.

This is a myth. The human body was designed to have the diet of an omnivore, from the body's need of complete protein to sustain everything from physical repair and basic brain function, to the way your teeth are designed. Vegetarians, for years, have been playing on misinformation and fear of health issues to have people thinking their lifestyles are by and large healthier. Truth be told, when all is said and done, most are malnourished and weak, more often than not, with discolored teeth, whites of the eyes and nails brought on by an unnatural diet. Now, you're next disinformation tactic will be to talk about the hormones and chemicals in meat, but there's just as much lab work in vegetables nowadays, even moreso when you consider pesticides. And before you say, "Well, I only eat organic," do a little research. Most "organic" pesticides used on crops are just as toxic as chemical pesticides. You wanna be a vegetarian, nobody's telling you not to be. But don't come in here with your soapbox preaching it as a healthier lifestyle. It's not.

No, the need to eat meat is a myth.

Human teeth aren't designed to rip through the skin of a living animal like a lion's are.

The human digestive tract is long and winding, which causes flesh to linger for long periods, allowing it to rot in there.

A lion has stomach acid 20 times as strong as a human. That is what you need to completely digest flesh, instead of having undigested proteins escape and settle in joints, causing the autoimmune reaction of arthritis.

As far as hormones, even without the artificial growth hormones, there are STILL the hormones that the animal has naturally. Animal growth hormones have no place in a truly human body. Growth hormones do survive the digestion process. It's part of how breastfeeding works. The mother's growth hormones transfer to the baby, to help it grow, through the breast milk.

Organic farming prohibits the use of carcinogenic chemicals, unlike other methods.

Furthermore, the farms with the most crops per acre have been organic. In addition, organic is more nutritious, because organic foods have much higher mineral content, as shown in a Rutger's University study.

As to Jesus eating fish, it us said that the loves and the fishes story was a mistranslation of a kind of sea vegetable or algae that provided nutrition. If in fact Jesus did multiply fish, it was because there was no other food around.

You are right. I am not a diplomat at all when I argue vegetarianism. I am militant. However, it was in response to those who first attacked vegetarianism, so the antagonism was caused by other people first.
I am really only adept with information on the subject. I am far too impatient to be really diplomatic about it.
However, aren't people who demand to eat animal flesh, the killing of innocent creatures for the sake of tasting their blood even being more smug and arrogant? Is it smug and arrogant to be vigilant against that which is evil?

Well, the problem with cooking the meat is that you destroy the enzymes, like lipase, which helps break down fat so it doesn't clog your arteries. It also destroys nutrients, like the amino acid taurine, which cats need for eyesight, without which they will go blind. That is why all cat food has synthetic taurine added to it. It destroys vitamins, too. Even with cooking, protiens go undigested, which is why a lot of people get arthritis. With so much tainted meat nowadays, eating raw meat is risky.

Most people don't eat raw meat, and yet people get arthritis from eating meat. You find out which things cause arthritis for you by eliminating all of the allergens, like beef, chicken, dairy, wheat, and corn, and then gradually reintroduce them to see which one causes a reaction.

I almost wonder if cooking the meat makes the arthritis worse, but I can't say. Aajonus Vonderplanitz would know. He advocates eating raw flesh.
