Ok... back to the normal discussion.

Where the heck did old Colby come from last night? If he had been playing that hard all season they may still have some of their guys instead of being down to 5.

I'm sure if Russell gets to the finals he'll lose out again, probably to some air head hottie who rode his coat tails, because the sore losers will again be so emotional, pissy and resentful at being showed up, manipulated and outplayed. Their personal dislike will cloud any grudging respect they have for his game.

This is exactly what will happen...:(

Yeah but can you honestly say she played better and is a better player than Russell!? Same with Rob.. he's never won. He got 10th place in his original season, made it to the finals for his first All-Stars and now he got 13th for this All-Star season. Russell has played two seasons. He made it to the finals in his original season and (if you believe the rumors) he gets to the finals this season of All-Stars. Regardless if you like him or not.. regardless if he ever wins the million.. Russell is the best player in Survivor history.

in a perfect game of survivor the winner would be the best player period...but thats happened how many times in Survivor history? Typically the winner is either a good player AND a "good person" or is a poor player up against a jerk.

The only time I think the bad guy won was Rich, and as another survivor put it he was a snake up against a rat.

If Russell goes head to head against someone like Parvati or Daniele he has a very solid chance to win, but if someone like Rupert, Jeri, Coby, JT or Sandra is in the final 2 or 3 he's going to lose.

In any event, do you guys really think Boston Rob got "worked" by Russell? Russell simply convinced 1 middle vote to go to his side, I don't think thats a dominate victory. Its not like it was a backstap or blindside.

Russell, IMO is losing his luster big time. I think he's had 2 strategies and thats it. Team with women and find immunity idols. It was interesting the first time, but like Ruperts original strategy it sorta loses its charm the second time around.

That said, he's got numbers now and he'll make it far in the merge, but I don't think he strategy or his mouth is going to get him many votes in the finale.

Russell is one of the top 5 of all time, but I think he'd have gone home early in a season divided by sexes or on some of the other themed years.

Actually no. Sandra (Pearl Islands), Parvati (Micronesia) Brian (Thailand), Amber (All-Stars) and Todd (China) were all considered "bad guys".

Rob WAS worked by Russell. And it goes back further than just that episode. You have to look at the whole situation to see the beauty of it. Rob honestly thought he was running the show in the Villains tribe. He "had" his alliance of Tyson, Sandra and Courtney + the votes of Coach and Jerri (who up to that point were siding with those 4). So 6 votes with a solid core of 4. Russell, Parvati, Danielle and Randy were the odd men out. They were supposed to be the first 4 gone from the Villains. Randy went. Next would've been Parvati or Russell with the remaining person of those two gone next and then Danielle. Rob and his alliance already had it all worked out.

First problem: Russell won over Coach by showing him the immunity idol and "confiding" in Coach, gaining his respect.

Next: Russell immediately figured out Rob's plan to backdoor Parvati while getting Russell to use the hidden immunity idol. Which is why he decided to give the idol to Parvati and why he told Tyson he was voting for Parvati (hoping that Tyson would vote for her too). And it worked perfectly. Tyson ended up going home. That was Rob's main ally. That killed Rob right there.. and was (to me) enjoyable to see. I love seeing people smiling, acting cocky like they got ish on lock to have everything go the exact opposite. Rob's change in demeanor when that 4th vote for Parvati showed up was priceless.

Then: Russell got Jerri to flip. You say she was a "middle vote" and that's fine. Ok. Reason being, Jerri's vote wasn't the one that sent Rob home, it was Coach's non-vote. Coach voiced his opinion that Courtney should go.. but Rob told him Russell needed to go first. And Coach AGREED. He even made a joke about Russell leaving to Rob. So Rob thought at the very least, it would be a 4 - 4 tie vote. That's why he was shocked/pissed when it came down 4 for him, 3 for Russell and 1 for Courtney: Coach lied to him. And why did Coach lie and break his word? Because of Russell. Because Russell gained his trust when he showed Coach that hidden immunity idol and when he used it to save Parvati and not himself.

Rob got played. And he got played directly by Russell and the actions/steps Russell took to insure that outcome. Again.. look at how confident Rob was before that. How Rob would flat out tell Russell he wasn't going to last. How Rob would tell his alliance who needed to go, etc. He honestly thought he was in charge. F'n hilarious.. especially to see him go from that to groveling to Jerri and Coach to save him. :lol

well the ''little man '' comment was for coach it seems and not Russel...

Of course it was, I picked up on that on the first viewing. And Coach looked hurt too, because it was a jab at this honor. And it's even more ironic the the supposedly "awesome" player Boston Rob is, and he slams the guy who didn't vote for him and completely missed the fact the Jerri is why he got voted out. Even in the exit speech he was blaming Coach. Boston Rob didn't live up to the hype at all IMO.

Like I said above, Rob wasn't expecting Jerri to vote with him. He WAS expecting Coach to though.. because Coach said he was going to vote out Russell. So he felt screwed over by Coach.. not Jerri.

Oh, I guess that make sense now. Coach just threw out his vote by voting Courntey, huh?

To be honest, I'm glad BR is off instead of Russell. Both have HUGE ego's, just display them differently. I think Rob's confidence and perceived influence is what did him in, not to mention that he stupidly decided to align himself with the two weakest members of his tribe (Courtney and Sandra). Tyson getting booted really hurt Rob's chances for a longer stay, as was proven.

It's obvious that Courtney and Sandra are next to go on that tribe, and maybe Sandra first because it looks like her loud mouth is going to get her in trouble. Unless the merge comes soon enough, but then still Courtney and Sandra are on the outs.

you'll be surprised by the winner this year then Mesa...;)

perfect analysis IMO and I agree on everything....The Thing I like the most about the braggers is when they can back their every moves.Like Russel does. When you're this good at something you have the right to be arrogant.

You make a lot of strong points, but I still think you're over playing Russell's involvement. I think its possible that even though Russell is a)coming up on top and b)talking big don't equate to him "dominating". I think he's barely squeking by and then talking loadly to trump it up. If not for Tyson being his typical bone head self he'd probably be gone. As far as your list of "bad guys" I need to rewatch some of those seasons but I don't think Amber, Sandra or Brian were true villians. I definately do not consider Sandra a "bad guy" during Pearl Islands mainly because she was heavily against both Fairlplay and Burton, who were unquestionably that season's villians.

Cant wait to see the dumbest move in Survivor history next week.

The Heroes Giving the immunity idol to Russel?!?!?! WTF fools !!!

I thought that too...until he voted for Courtney? I don't know if I understand why when Russell changed his vote why didn't Parvati?

I think he was just confused. He got played twice since he changed his mind twice. And changed it because the two "weak" women told him to.

That whole Villians tribe is chaos now, thanks to Russell. I think lastnight's vote could have gone either coach or courtney and it came down to who they thought the other person would be voting for. Clearly communication is an issue.

Villians went from the dominant team to the losing one in record time!

Villians tribe is doomed. Now it's like courtney and Sandra and maybe Jerri will have a stronger alliance if there is not merge because I know Jerri is pissed at Russel right now.

it's sad to see what a screwup team they've become. To vote off they're last strongest remaining male player just for the politics of the game shows that that tribe is on a course of self destruction, pre and post merge.
