Too late for any sort of containment now.
Damn, we all thought it would never happen.

This all kind of reminds of the beginning of zombie movies... first it starts out small in some tiny ^^^^ town and then cases start popping up everywhere. So far the only fatalities have been in Mexico. Reported cases have been confirmed in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Spain... all as a result from travelers from Mexico.

^^^^, I will probably have it by the end of the week. I deal with Mexican drivers all the f'n time.

It was nice knowing you guys :(

I was going to start a thread too. I wonder how this will affect SDCC. I just heard there are 8 confirmed cases in San Diego, one of which is at a school where some 40 other children have minor "flu-like" symptoms.
I was just going to post about your avatar coming true and then you go and change it. Come on man, it's fitting. Change it back.

YAY........Swine Zombies.....

Night of the Living Porky Pig..

Oh well, I guess it's time for SDCC to whip out some infrared monitors and set the parameters to 98.6 and if the machine detects that you have a fever....then it's curtains for ya.....

"Sorry, you can't attend SDCC this year, you and your kid have been detected with having a fever so please step aside, we will have to shoot both of you in the head just to be safe and no you can't have a sneek peak at the new statues, sorry....and stand still for us."

Are you guys serious?Very inappropriate to joke about this...

Its not as serious as the news makes it, this sort of thing happens every couple of years. The only serious cases were in Mexico, and the people with it are people who came from mexico on vacations or w/e. The other people getting it from them, have way lessened effects.

Many people have died because of the flu in just a matter of days...i say it´s serious enough.

I like how the media is trying to scare us by calling this a deadly flu strain.
Fact is 36000 Americans die on average per year from the complications of flu but you never hear anybody get in a Hysteria about that.

Does that really have any relivance? The whole point here is why laugh and make jokes when it involves death? Thats all.

Only in Mexico where it originated, no one anywhere else has died, but that was before they even knew what they were handling. Thats life, it happened with Tomatoes recently if you remember. Happens all the time, sucks to be those people, but were making fun of how big a deal people are making of it spreading, which is actually not a huge deal as the news makes out, were not making fun of dead people.

People die from alot of stuff, you pretty much wouldnt be able to make fun of anything by this standard.

I think whats funny is everyone is getting worked up over this, but no one is bothered by aids in africa which is considerably a bigger problem. Or hell, aids in general which has probably killed as many people in the past couple of days and spreading at a far larger rate..
