When I pre-ordered her I didn't know who Sadie really was, and don't know any more now after giving up trying to watch the game.

So likeness or height has never been an issue. The hat was, because it looked bad at prototype stage.

This was a pre-order for parts for a female western character (I first wrote that as a pre-order for female parts  !)

The last set of photos from BBICN weren't good from a technical angle, but at least she looked better in BigBreda's post. His video should be the first proper look we get of her.

I could do without the figure, just as I could do without a lot of my current pre-orders, but it'll be somewhat interesting working on her, maybe giving her a completely different looking sculpt, to see who she might become.
I've written a long summary of the game and tried to fit in the most important infromation regarding the main characters and Sadie, this should give you a good idea of what kind of character she is.
You find her in the first chapter of the game, Dutch's gang is on the run from the law after a botched bank robbery in the town of Blackwater which forces them to leave behind all the "Blackwater money". They find themselves up in the mountains seeking shelter from a blizzard, Arthur, Dutch and the camp's most unlikeable member, Micah, set out to find supplies and come across a house/farm, outside the farm they find a corpse in a wagon and then realize the house is occupied by a rival gang led by Colm O'Driscoll, aptly named "the O'Driscolls". After a short gunfight Dutch, Arthur and Micah search around the property and they find Sadie in total distress and traumatized, Micah stupidly sets her house on fire so she has no choice but join Dutch's gang, as they're leaving Sadie reveals the corpse in the wagon was her husband.

Throughout the game she starts opening up more to the people in the gang and mostly bonds with the camp girls, Arthur, Abigal Marston and her son Jack, she also reveals herself to be a very capable gunfighter but also still deeply traumatized and hellbent on revenge. The gang hits a string of bad luck as multiple members die and their robberies start becoming less successful which makes Dutch slowly start to lose his mind. Things go from bad to worse in a botched bank robbery which results in the arrest of John Marston and Dutch, Arthur and the gang's most capable fighters have to forcely depart the mainland, during this time Sadie shortly acts as a leader and saves the rest of the gang from the Pinkertons before they can arrest them.

After Dutch and the rest of the gang return, Arthur is diagnosed with TB which he got from beating up a sick man to collect a debt earlier in the game, Sadie and him grow closer since the two of them are "more ghosts than people" at that point, the two plot and break John out of prison much to Dutch's disapproval who is growing crazier by the day now that Micah is acting as his confidant. Not so long after this Colm O'Driscoll is arrested and hung, this gives Sadie the opportunity to track down what's left of the O'Driscolls, she asks Arthur for his help in taking them down but he makes her promise that she will save the Marston family when "the time comes", she promises and they both set out to kill the rest of the gang that ruined her life.

They find the O'Driscolls holed up in a ranch, Sadie goes scorched earth on them, brutally murdering most of them, including a man who's heavily implied to have raped her in the first chapter, Arthur and her have a heart to heart in one of the game's most touching scenes and she admits she has turned into a "monster" but at least she can still hold on to the pure memories of her husband. With her revenge enacted Sadie still sticks around with what's left of the gang to make sure she keeps her promise to Arthur, she, John, and two gang members, the native Charles and the old drunk "Uncle" stick closely together as tensions rise in camp.

The time does come and in one final train robbery the rest of the gang completely fall apart after, John is shot and presumed dead by Arthur after Dutch says he couldn't save him and Abigail is captured by the Pinkertons, Dutch refuses to rescue her, shocked and appalled by his leader and mentor's actions Arthur has one of the camp girls take Jack to a secluded spot where they will wait for Sadie to arrive after they rescue Abigail, with Sadie helping him the two not only manage to save her but it's also revealed to them that Micah has been an informant for the Pinkertons for some time.

With Abigail safe Arthur says his goodbyes to her and Sadie and rides out to face Dutch and Micah at camp, Arthur reveals to Dutch Micah was an informant while this is happening John shows up wounded but alive and reveals Dutch left him for dead, an intense standoff ensues and the gang's matriarch is shot and killed by Micah, just as it seems that Dutch, Micah and the rest of the gang are about to kill Arthur and John the pinkertons raid the camp giving them the opportunity to escape, Arthur ends up sacrificing himself so that John may live the life Arthur always wished for them both.

8 years later John, Abigail and Jack are going by fake names and return to the states after having no luck in Yukon, trying to settle down the family find settlement and work at a ranch but one day John is ambushed on the road after someone recognizes him, news spread of the gunslinger's return and Sadie contacts John via telegram, Abigail seperates from John due to him still being a knucklehead but he keeps working at the ranch to earn money to be able to buy a ranch of his own. He finally decides to visit Sadie after taking out a loan to buy land and the two start working together as bounty hunters, they reminisce about the old days and even meet up with Charles and Uncle who survived the gang's downfall, John finally builds a ranch with the help of Charles and Uncle. Abigail and Jack return shortly after John writes to them seeking forgiveness for his past behaviour, things are going well until Sadie informs John that Micah is alive and leading his own gang near the region, despite Abigail's pleads John, Sadie and Charles set out to find and kill Micah as payback for everything that happened to the gang however Sadie and Charles end up badly wounded but survive, John meets Micah again and much to his surprise Dutch as well who had also been seeking Micah, the two kill Micah and Dutch parts ways with John without saying a word, John finds the Blackwater money which Micah had retrieved and manages to pay off his loan, he also legally marries Abigail and soon after Charles and Sadie part ways to seek their own happy ending. Unbeknownst to John, one of the pinkertons who is now working as head of the newly established Bureau manages to track him down after connecting the dots sorrounding Micah's death, this will lead into the events of the amazing first game which is much easier to watch as movie than RDR2. :p

The problem with the figure is that it just doesn't live up to the character or the quality of the game, it's really medicore, missing everything that makes her what she is, for someone who hasn't played the game she's just another figure to kitbash and customize for their historic collections but for fans of the game it's just a letdown for several reasons that have been stated in this thread.

I've tried so many times to get into the RDR series, but I can't stand the voices/acting. There's nothing drawing me to it beyond the visuals.

I came to the conclusion that most videogames are the same game. You're repeating the same actions, just with different graphics and a different storyline. Gaming eventually became an unfulfilling waste of time for me, driven by the need to beat elements of it no matter how frustrating they were. I should've learnt that with the highly frustrating original Tomb Raider games, yet every new advance in graphics enticed me onwards to the next opportunity to kill something.

Fallout 3 was a revelation with it's huge world space, ample opportunities for killing, and opportunities to interact with characters on quite realistic levels, while feeling completely indebted to my character's moral code (no matter how much harder or longer it made the game).

I played that and Fallout: New Vegas to death, exhausting all the good fan made mod quests in the process.

I never want to spend that much time on gaming ever again, so watch non commentary play throughs instead.

TLOU and TLOU2 were perfect entries into that method of gaming experience, because they play more like movies adapted into games due to the quality of the voices/acting.

No matter how many times I've tried to get that experience from RDR or RDR2, it doesn't work. The only good thing about them is that they're popular enough to encourage companies to make 1/6 western figures.

What? RDR literally has some of the best voice acting

Welp, let’s hope Lim has a Sadie up their sleeves because the SWtoys version ain’t the one. Gonna watch a couple reviews but I’m pretty sure Mr. Morgan will be riding alone for the time being.

She's due for delivery tomorrow.

At least she was cheap after using some rewards with Kit. The sum of her parts may be worth the reduced cost.

Wonder if the sleeves are stitched folded back, because I haven't seen a picture with them pulled down yet. Covering her arms completely would solve one issue.

From the photos and videos the weapons look pretty cheap, and reminiscent of the 1999 Yamato/Twilight Magic Works western trio, which is a shame because the Colts look more accurate than the game models.

The gun belt is fastened on it's first hole, so there's a chance it could be used for a male figure as well.

The mismatched color between hand and arms was enough by itself to warrant an automatic fail. I just have no room for mediocrity in my collection. That being said. It really made me appreciate Arthur Morgan from limtoys even more. No corner cutting was done on that figure. Very well done. I can only hope Ginger Huntress gets the same level of quality.

I think RDR2 is one of the best acted games/stories I've ever had the pleasure of playing and watching and I loved the unique voices of all the main characters but hey to each his own.

I downloaded entire non-commentary playthroughs of both games twice, and deleted them each time after getting a few hours in.

The gameplay doesn't lend itself to 'movie mode' either because it quickly becomes too arcade-like to be engaging (unlike TLOU which manages to somehow transcend it's medium).

I have 'Lady Adler' in hand now, and she's a very strange mixture of retro and new.

The sculpt isn't bad as far as female sculpts go. The hair is well done, and the face has a grim attitude, and some age. Overall it looks better than most photos indicate. I think she'll be replacing one of the heads in my Red Army.

Multiple people mentioned that the sculpt looked too big. In reality it's regularly sized, but does sit low. All you need to do is pull it up a bit.

The shirt is quite intricate with the pleated design. The sleeves aren't stitched in the folded position so it's easy enough to roll them down to her wrists, which is an improvement.

Trousers are fine, and then you get to the boots. Those tiny, tiny booties! :lol

However, that's working in my favour as I've been planning making a western kid character with CGL's Carl Grimes as the base. Even so, the boots look a bit small on him as well.

The belt and gun belt are good, with the latter constructed in a realistic manner apart from the leg ties which were a rarity before Hollywood.

The hat is as expected, and resembles something that would come with a Barbie doll, except it would've been big enough to fit Barbie's head. Everything about it is nasty, from the size to the unconvincing paint and plastic quality.

Nothing appears to move on the guns. They're solid recasts which explains why the Colts are undersized compared to other 1/6 examples. One side of the trigger guard and frame on each is freakishly flat. All the guns have a plasticky quality with uninspired metalwork paint. They did manage a pretty good woodgrain effect on the long barrelled shotgun.

The harmonica is an unusual accessory and looks quite fine.

The whisky is an interesting colour. You don't often get 1/6 whiskey so yellow, and it makes me thinks it's a bottle of something else...

Now I'm going to mess with the parts and try to construct two characters out of them.

The SW Sadie sculpt worked really well for one of my Alert Line NKVD women. The ushanka was a perfect fit, her hair tucked back and she has a suitably stern expression.

They've been through so many head swaps, but I think I'm finally getting there.

The gun belt was a bit too long for skinny Carl, so I've gone back on my original plan to de-gunslinger the girl. It's a perfect fit for her, so it defies logic to force it onto a body that it's not made for.

I figured that if a boy could put on his dead father's guns to exact revenge, then why not a girl? To that end I already had a sculpt in mind to use on 'Sadie': CC Toys' TLOU angry Ellie. It's a sculpt that means business, pain, and violence from the blood running down the side of her face.

For boots I've had to go bigger and use a pair from one of Redman's Lethal Weapon Martin Riggs costume sets. They're big, but not massively so. It would fit her story that, along with the gun belt, they're not her boots either. Maybe she stuffed them with newspaper like Mattie Ross' hat?

This is a quick test without any futzing, and she doesn't have feet inside the boots yet:

The pony tail makes it difficult to wear a hat, but the one from Thunder Toys' Carter Slade Ghost Rider works pushed back with the pony tail inside the crown. From the side it looks deformed though.

As a figure that I wasn't particularly looking forward to as time went on, and even less so when the first in hand pictures emerged, I'm now happy I did get her. From a blank canvas and some vague ideas I can now see a character, maybe two if I can get Carl Grimes to work as well.

I didn't put feet on her in the end as she didn't need them for stability, and it keeps her a bit shorter for a younger character. Standing next to the tall John Wayne and Clint Eastwood makes her seem even more diminutive though.
