It was not funny at all for me. It's stupid.
There's a lot of someones' hearts' energy in these figures: sculpting, painting, packaging...
Yes, you've paid money for it, but you've destroyed thing that should (I'm pretty sure here) stand somewhere and make someone happy for a little bit. It's stupid. I'm very sad that there is so much destroyers all over the world. I should not visit this thread any more...

Ok dont answer that. I just checked out their site. Looks like about $10 less.

I will order with these guy next time.. Thanks for the tip.

Its $190US on the site so..maybe like $210CAN for it, if you go pick it up...or what did you get that special version or the regular?...the regular is $159.99US.

How many times does this poor guy have to explain why he destroyed it? :lol Sideshow has a policy that demands an item to be destroyed by its owner to receive a new replacement. :D He only destroyed it because he actually had to not because he was having fun.

this is nothing compared to some things. People have to smash lifesize busts and pfs to get a replacement. :lol
Funny video btw. :lol

WHAT!!?? What kind of policy is that? I find that very hard to believe. So instead of fixing the left foot, just completely destroy an otherwise perfectly fine figure?

Hey man I was just as surprised as you and thought the policy only pertained to really heavy high end busts and statues but nope. Its not even a SS item, its made by Hot Toys but yeah it is what it is. Weird but true.

they may be limited somehow just like the statues but sideshow ( and hot toys obviously ) only know the number. Then again if the customer doesn't know why bother.
This is nothing new though , sideshow have been making people destroy stuff for years.
All in good fun. :lol:lol

Well Im not the first to do it but heres the email they send when you have a return and they dont want it sent back.

Dear Mike,

Thank you for taking the time to contact Sideshow Collectibles and provide the requested photos.

I have looked into our available inventory and have booked you a replacement order for the 12” T-600 Figure. At this time we ask that you please destroy your piece as it is not necessary to return your statue. Please read the precautions listed below before destroying your item. After you have destroyed your statue, please scan the destroyed item and provide an attachment in a response email. Upon receipt of the requested photos, your replacement piece will be shipped out to you at no additional charge. We ask that you provide photos within the next five business days or by 10/01/09.

** Please use care and precaution when destroying this piece. We ask that you use a rather blunt instrument to crush your item as well as making sure to cut any clothing off the statue itself. If your collectible is numbered, please be sure to black out the edition number on the base itself as well. We would advise placing the piece in a cloth bag, pillow case, or heavy duty trash bag to contain any flying debris as well as any small pieces that result from destroying your piece. DO NOT set fire to your collectible or drop it from a high altitude as this may cause bodily harm to yourself, bystanders, private or public property. We also ask that you protect yourself from flying pieces or shards by wearing eye protection, if possible, as well as proper footwear.

Sideshow Collectibles will not be responsible for any injuries caused by destroying your item. So please make sure you destroy the item in a safe fashion.

We thank you for your cooperation during our returns process. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions or concerns.

Best regards,

Re: T-600 Death. Judgement Day 2009

Awwww.. Buzz Killington just showed up.

Who??

I refuse to admit that I enjoyed the vid for any other reason than for engineering/destructive testing purposes. :D Would have been nice if you had a push/pull force gauge so the strength of the materials used in the design could have been tested. Lots of material data could have been gained from it's destruction. But there is sill plenty of material strength data to be gained from the vid... He's actually made of higher quality materials than I first thought -- mostly ABS by the look of it.

BTW: That wall you're shooting the puck at has some serious structural issues that will get worse over time...
