I bet the delay on the t2 endo was brought on by the slow sales of the t1 and the issues that chronicle had with theirs and the complaints people made. I wouldn't be surprised if the t1 endo is delayed or pushed back.

Personally I'm not surprised it got delayed at all. In fact, I was more surprised that they said they still had plans to release one, after the T1 endo was revealed. Its esentially the same character with a gun and different base. I'm willing to bet the T1 endo actually replaced the supposed T2 endo that was teased.

Actually it would make it harder for skin to adhere to chrome.
it's not "actually". terminator's flesh should not adhere to metal parts at all, otherwise they won't be able to move under it without tearing it. and that's why smooth surface is the best. don't mistake living being's stretching/expanding musculature for terminators hydraulics of static shape and surface.
some fixed points here and there are more than enough, and there are plenty of empty useless slots on endoskeleton.

A plated surface on the battlefield would be stupid, a more polished high grade metal would be best.
of course, but Cameron's endoskeletons don't intentionally go to the battlefield, "lol". you've read too many comics.

They messed up saying a, potentially, better one was on its way.

That information undoubtedly affected sales of this so they backtracked.
Don't forget the T2 has been in the works for over two years.

Supposedly...but was it? For all we know, this T1 endo might have been the one they have been working on for the past 2 years. It might have started out as a concept for T2 and ended up being a T1 endoskeleton. I just don't see the logic behind releasing 2 endos so close to one another.

I personally would've preferred a T2 endoskeleton. The only way I'd ever want an endo from the original is if the sculptors would actually make it film accurate, and it doesn't seem like that's going to happen anytime soon. I'm hoping the endoskeleton maquette they teased does eventually see the light of day. If not it just seems like a huge wasted opportunity for SS, especially with the release of T2-3D later this year.

Edit: And what's the deal with these dull paint finishes? That's so weak, and at this price point there's no excuses.

From Alex...
That particular endo is now expected to be done in 2017 sometime. There will be another endo (not previously announced) that should be done and ready to Pre-Order before the year is out.

I was also told, over a year ago, that the T2 was still being put together. Hence the delay.

I know that and remember that quote, but what I'm saying is that I'm not buying it. I also don't think a T2 endo released by Sideshow will be chrome anyway. It would probably have the same silver paint as this one does.

ohh thats right the whole beginning of T2 and T2-3D didnt happen..... smh..

that's right, the whole beginning of T2, including all the scenes that weren't made (and were later filmed in a very castrated variant in T5), was about hours before skynet defeat, thus the infiltrators on battlefields as the last resort.
didn't you know that?
t23d is not part of the story, i don't even know why you mentioned it.

Your argument is subjective since it was never stated that it was only because the final battle or not, far as we know they could be used all the time as sweeper units since the infiltrators are the ones with the skin. I mentioned T23D because it was made by Cameron and technically still within that universe, forgetting the sequels T3-5

Such a Nerd debate lol

I wish they'd release Battle Across Time on bluray, even though I've seen the show probably a hundred times. I'm sure there would be some challenges considering there are portions with "live" actors though.

My flexi payments have started for this and I can't wait to get him the statute has lots of detail, probably the most I've seen on a statue just as much as the CM one

Sorry if this has already been covered but is this maquette expected to have a light-up eyes feature? The description references "glowing eyes"...some of the photos make it look like the eyes light up and I didn't see the tiny disclaimer that the lit eyes were only for effect (i.e., the lightsaber for the new Kylo Ren).

Disappointing effort from Sideshow here, and on the Predator. The CC Genisys piece looks like a QC disaster too. At this point, wishing that SS would just give up the licenses. Not much fun being a collector with nothing worthwhile to collect from their fave licenses. The 1-4 Guardian and 1/2 bust from CC were pretty good I thought though
