T5 discussion, rummors, etc... Location of T5? I'll put it in spoilers quote.

Well. I'm hoping that those so-called spoilers for the next chapter are pure bull****...
I also hoped that TS was just an introduction to an even bigger showdown that would happen between the resistance and Skynet in the next chapter...a good mix of battle and drama....the war rages on and the Resistance learns of Skynet's newfound ability at time travel and the climax features Connor and Reese invading the Skynet facility where the T-800 has departed on it's mission to kill Sarah Connor and Kyle is sent back to protect her...
The final film could stay in the future...following Connor and the resistance and their efforts to defeat Skynet once and for all....lot's of battle action and maybe a few surprises to wrap the story up with....
That was the main thing about TS that was great for me....having the character of Marcus...a man trapped in a new existence as a Terminator, fighting to stay connected with his flawed humanity and looking for some kind of redemption for his own past and ending up providing a "salvation" for the resistance and it's new leader....cool stuff.
I hope the folks behind TS can come up with something just as unique...that adds to what's come before without destroying it. Sorry, but that wacky stuff in that "spoiler" report being attributed to McG sounds like a real bad idea instead of a good continuation of what he's started here with TS...

I actually like TS but this is a stupid idea. The only thing this movie can do (if it's made)is make TS look better.

Although I see the series being wrapped up in one more movie and not two. Oh, Christian why did you sign up for two more movies for this director I'm now growing completely scared of with this new T5 plot rumor???
Also it seems the fans(i.e. all of us) have a better general idea of where to go from T4 than this McG director does

Geez, I hope these storylines don't eventuate. I liked Salvation, but this latest news just doesn't sound too good.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping to see as well. I liked Salvation enough, and I kind of wanted to see where McG was taking us with the whole post-apocalyptic, Terminator war thing.
I kind of think time travel should be kept in the "original trilogy", you know? Other than sending people back, I mean. That's what should set this trilogy apart from the Cameron movies.
I loved Salvation, but those ideas for the next Terminator are just stupid
Anyway, I really hope they don't make the film like that. The whole past Judgment Day postapocalyptic vibe is just awesome.
The ideas mentioned by Jedibear about seeing how the Resistance finds the timetravel device and sends Kyle back, that's the stuff I want to see.
Or they could show us the mission or whatever way they used to capture and reprogram the T-800 from T2.
These new ideas are just unneccessary plot twists that make the whole story more uncomprehensible and more difficult (especially for themselves) to tell. They just want to do something because "it would look cool" not realising that it would create a bunch of new plot holes and would have a diminishing effect on the whole Terminator saga.
So if anyone who has some influence in making T5 decisions reads this:

If I understand correctly then it's Skynet who follows John Connor back to the past... But Skynet can't even win in a future where mankind is scattered around and aren't equipped very well. So them following Connor to the past where mankind is well equipped just sounds like they are wanting to be defeated... or something like that...

McG was recently on TV here in the UK talking about TS. He talked about the " complexity" of TS , and compared it to the Matrix due to its layered nature. He also compared what he was doing with James Cameron taking forward Alien with his movie Aliens. He was generally smug throughout the interview, and it was possibly the worst promotional appearance for any film that I have ever seen.
McG is clearly deranged if he thinks that the dogs dinner plot of TS was complex and that he has similar directing abilites to James Cameron. This odious cretin is so full of himself that it is untrue.
The Terminator franchise is really going to be in trouble if they let this clown anywhere near any future films.

In a all battle on the road to Skynet, L.A, Connor will have to make inhuman discussions to stay alive. He and Kyle alone must breech the time displacement chamber and send Kyle back to save the future of the human race. The machines have broken the conductor, the electricity cannot be generated! Connor himself must become the conductor and hope to survive.
Due to the missing part Connor and Kyle are aged slightly! Clearing up Kyle's age issue

Wow, just when I thought this franchise was already way off track. I don't want to a pre-Judgement Day Skynet invasion. That defeats the whole purpose of the franchise to begin with. How is 2011 pre-JD anyway? It happened in 2004 (in this timeline).
What I want to see is the original timeline. I want to see a trilogy where the first movie is still the first movie, but part two is the one where Cyrberdyne finds the remains of the Terminator in their factory, developes Skynet and the super soldier of the future (endo), Sarah doesn't blow up anything, there is no T-1000, Skynet becomes self away on August 29th, 1997, and destroys the world. Kinda like War Games except the computer doesn't learn not to play the game.
Then the third is set in different years of post Judgement Day with Connor and Reese being total badasses and culminating in 2029 with the smashing of Skynet's defense grid, and the capture of the time displacement equipment, but they are too late. One Terminator has already gone through, Kyle goes after it, they blow the whole place. The ^^^^ing end!

Wow and some think the current T4 is crap. This McG is really gonna ^^^^ up the whole franchise so bad if goes on from these ideas. We're all gonna very willingly think that T3 is a 15 on a scale of 1 thru 10 if he makes T5 and T6 like this. This director has just had a little taste of moderate success with this movie and now he's bigheaded thinking he can do what Cameron did only 10 times better. I'm scared for this franchise and I'm scared for one of my fave actors who's only gotten out of his career slump in recent years, PLEASE MR. CHRISTIAN BALE RUN AWAY!!!!

I'm really excited about McG's ideas for a T5. Everything he mentioned is quite in tune with TS and his vision for his trilogy. I really hope he gets the chance to finish what TS began and thoroughly and completely rape the series. In T6 maybe Sarah Connor can turn out to be a cyborg like Marcus and that John himself has Skynet DNA. As long as there are brain dead action scenes, I'm sure McG would love that.
Oh, oh, and then Kyle will die, and John will have to go back in time to incest his mother, but won't tell her who he is, and then John will be born as a special needs girl who will then be known as Joan Connor who will wonder out in front of a car and be killed.

That idea was spoiled before it hit the frying pan. Let it rot. Maybe it will go away like the Marcus kills everybody ending and the Marcus become John bull^^^^.
