Great catch FelMar, Icons and Timeless versions are same, something similar like Toynami/HCG..Only difference i know of is the nametag!

I don't think you can tell for sure if bust is Timeless or Icons without the plaque, but I'll contact a friend of mine (who has them all), and see if he can check it up and find any subtle differences!

That would be great..perhaps there is a slight difference somewhere...

Have you unscrewed your ICONS from the base? Maybe there is a marking under the spine where it attaches to the base. I'd suggest doing that for your confirmed ICONS and the new (I'm so jealous) one.

The HCG seems a bit off to me, i can't put my finger on it.

I'm not feeling the Icons Bust.

You can't go wrong with the SS busts. I own both the CHROME and COMBAT and I dig them both. As for the ICONS and TIMELESS COLLECTIBLES they are fantastic examples too. From the beautiful sculpts to the collectible display cases and certificates they are destined to be in my collection one day.Mike

The sideshow endos are not accurate.
Wrong teeth,wrong mouthydraulics(under cheekbone),wrong chipcover(too big)...thats the truth.
The HCG/Toynami one is 99,9% accurate..you can see it at the HD-Specials on the new Terminator 4 BluRaydisc..they visit Stan Winston Workshop..there is a great Detailshot of an Original-Endo.Here a comparsion of my HCG/Toynami with the original:



No symetrical and long teeth in the lower jaw like the sideshow..the teeth at the HCG are the right one.I think the sideshow looks great,but the HCG is the one to have it accurate.I cutted my soundchip at the HCG..now its perfect for me.The sound is the only flaw at this bust..but after cutting one cable its quiet.;-)

it may be more accurate, for some reason i still prefer the Sideshow, and i don't know why. The Sideshow's face seems longer...but can't put my finger on it why i prefer the Sideshow.

Same here, SS Endo bust looks like the Endo we see in the begining of T2.All the other versions look to have a more rounded skull, and i don't like that at all.

They don't look human..they look like Terminators, they have a skeleton-like look but, not all that close to a human skeleton..point being, SS looks more like the one i've seen on film(especially T2)..not sure what point you are trying to make with this "because humans don't have round skulls" blah blah!...well we all have different shaped skulls, some longer and wider some smaller and narrow etc..thats humans, i am talking TERMINATOR..its one design for the 800 series and thats what we are talking here.

From this shot and the battle scenes prior, it reminds me more of the SSC bust then any other.

Where is the grid on the eyes?
Where are those damn long lower teeth?

It's OK if you prefer SS piece, but don't claim it's a more screen accurate version!

And original design of Endokull IS more roundish, then long!

Not that I disagree with you quite the opposite, I agree that HCG skull is much more accurate then the SS one, pictures you have (from Terminator 4) aren't shots of the original Terminator Endoskeleton, nor the Endo used in T2!
It's one of the Endos that were changed to be used in T4 (I guess), because Stan Winston Studio used SideShow lifesize Endos (of course, modified)..

SideShow lifesize endo has the same skull as HCG/Toynami, as they came from same mold (I only believe that SS skull on lifesize endo is the next generation of cast, while Toynami and HCG come directly from screen used)..

Most notable difference of the screen used skull, and HCG skull, are the eyes, HCG has that grid/pattern, while screen used skull has clear lense.

SS skull has quite a few (many times noted) differences, and isn't supposed to be screen accurate, but to "idealize" image of Endo!

It's OK when people say that they prefer SS one, it's perfectly normal, as it is meant to be "better", but don't claim it's more SCREEN ACCURATE, and it looks like the one in T2, because it doesn't..and there is lots of details that can proove that!
