Thanks Riko, we are aware of it being sold again though, most of us have it on pre-order and are expecting it very soon.

if HT do aquire the license for the dark knight.. i wonder if we'll see a bruce wayne figure..they made bloody clark kent..:lol

back on to the topic of this thread. has anyone ordered from hobbylandjapan before?
cause theyre shipping prices seem very reasonable. just wondering if anyone here has ordered from them.

I'd definitely go for an HT Wayne figure, but no matter how nice it comes out, if HT did a Dark Knight figure based on the new suit for the film, I wouldn't bite, I don't like the suit enough to buy a $150 figure of it, I think it'll be fine on screen, but this Takara based on the Begins/TDK suit will do just fine for me.

giving serious thought to cancelling my wolf predator and predalien order as well.:monkey1:monkey4. i'll see.

Edit - NO! NO!@ NO! i cant cancell those .. just looked at pics of them to reassure me..:lol

nice!
I was thinking the same for a long time; I'd put him on my speaker in the high corner :)

about the ordering of the figure: I am from europe, and since european sellers do not have them for sale  (yet) I must wait untill they got them...but that could take a long time (so maybe never), because I mailed some online european sites, but they are still not sure if they will get them hmm...

So I guess I'll have to buy some of the re-issues on ebay...another plus-point: they are much cheaper than if I would wait untill they got sold here in europe.
But I'll give them a week to give me the message that they will be selling them, otherwises I'll be buying one on Ebay fo sure! Because I can't afford to wait any longer huh!

Nice! I was thinking of something like that but Sean mentioned the crouch pose and I believe thats what I'll go with.

Again, I don't know what the figure will allow, but this sort of pose is more Bale Batman to me than anything.

that pose looks great.. just not so sure the suit can take that kind of pose..even if it can wouldnt leaving it in that pose make it more prone to tears..etc? will have to check it out and see.

I'm thinking something similar to that maybe not quite so crouched to be easier on the suit.

I think Bardoon asked me a few days ago about the new Takara Batman re-release and how it stacks up to the original release. Sorry for the delayed response, I was at the Wondercon comic convention all weekend and had limited access to the internet until early today.

Anyway, let's start with the packaging. The Takara BB re-release comes housed in a very similar box. It's practically the same with the only difference being a new "Takara Tomy" logo on the top right of the front flap.

They've also done away with the velcro enclosure and instead use a magnet to keep the front flap closed. Always a plus.

The way the accessories tray is set up in the box is much better this time around. You won't have to damage the box to get them out, which is great!

The front and back artwork is still the same. Good enough for me.

As for the figure itself. I've been asked if the material is any different from the original release (I have both the re-release and the original). As far as I can tell, the rubber feels the same, but it's slightly less tacky and there is less of those rub marks and scratches on his chest and abdominals. I don't know if Takara did something different for the re-release or if it's just my figure that got lucky. It still attracts dust like nobody's business.

So all in all, it's still the same great figure but in slightly improved packaging.

Awesome. Damaging the packaging was once thing that made me hesitant about this figure. It's great to hear that they've improved things this time around!

Thanks for that, plasmid!!! I have the original and I ordered one of the re-releases as well so I was wondering if there were any differences if any... thanks for letting us all know.

No problem. I'm actually gonna put my new Takara Batman back in the box and into storage, since I already have the original on display.

I would not even attempt to try a pose like that. It's too risky and I'm almost sure the rubber suit can't take that much stretching.
