I think I paid for mine when I ordered. I have not gotten an email from them yet.

Josh, weren't you on the fence for a while about getting this? I think most of us that are getting emails jumped on ordering day 1 to secure the decent price.

Yeah, you have 9 days.

It's probably something like your Billing Address not matching up.

ive succusfully made 3 orders from them in the past and have used the same credit card details. the credit card is saved on file as well at bbts. so i dont have to punch it in each time.. damnit..i wont be able to sleep comfy tonight..:lol. headed to bank at 7:30 tomorrow morning:emperor

Greetings from Malaysia!

I came across this board and been reading some of the topics of interest for the past couple of days.

All I can say is "WOW!" - some of you have got awesome skills with sculpting, repaints etc. Looking forward to more!

I'm a collector myself, but nothing really specific - whatever catches my eye so I have have stuff from 1/6th figures, to Transformers movie toys etc.

Those who've missed out on getting the TAKARA, this is your chance. The moment I saw pics of it online, I knew this was the one! IMO, it just blew away the competition (HOT TOYS and MEDICOM). This was the "original"/first release that I have here. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd piece and keep it MIB but the price, giving me 2nd thoughts - can use that same amount of money for a different figure or two!

Now, back to the topic at hand, I noticed that some of you guys complained about having to destroy the tray for the TAKARA Batman accessories. Here's an alternative way, hopefully, preserving the box as much as possible.

I was stumped on the best way to open the tray to get my paws on the accessories, finally, I thought this was the best solution:

What I did was make 2 cuts along the top of the tray (as shown in the red circles). You have to be really careful, and get a sharp knife/blade and depending how neat you are - which I wasn't as I didn't get a straight cut.

You get a little flap/cover, and you can still slide the tray in and out. Since most boxes would probably be stored upright, no chance of the tray and gear slipping out (since its a pretty tight fit in there as well).

Sorry about the blur photos, its about 3am here right now and I just got back from work. My cameraphone doesn't work that well with nightshots.

Hope this "visual guide" helps!

Thought i'd bump this up, it really helps.

If any of you that haven't ordered are still thinking about it, BBTS still has 58 available in inventory....

Their price is at $179.99 though now...it'll probably jump again once theres even less in stock.

I think the accessory tray is different on the rerelease.

Haha, thanks.

But good to know that TAKARATOMY has improved the packaging.

The more I read about it - the more I'm tempted to get another one of these. Then again, I could use the money for other figures. Decisions, decisions.....

I think Bardoon asked me a few days ago about the new Takara Batman re-release and how it stacks up to the original release. Sorry for the delayed response, I was at the Wondercon comic convention all weekend and had limited access to the internet until early today.

Anyway, let's start with the packaging. The Takara BB re-release comes housed in a very similar box. It's practically the same with the only difference being a new "Takara Tomy" logo on the top right of the front flap.

They've also done away with the velcro enclosure and instead use a magnet to keep the front flap closed. Always a plus.

The way the accessories tray is set up in the box is much better this time around. You won't have to damage the box to get them out, which is great!

The front and back artwork is still the same. Good enough for me.

As for the figure itself. I've been asked if the material is any different from the original release (I have both the re-release and the original). As far as I can tell, the rubber feels the same, but it's slightly less tacky and there is less of those rub marks and scratches on his chest and abdominals. I don't know if Takara did something different for the re-release or if it's just my figure that got lucky. It still attracts dust like nobody's business.

So all in all, it's still the same great figure but in slightly improved packaging.

This is what I was basing my comment about the accessory tray on.

Mine should be shipping today or tomorrow. I had to make a bad financial decision to get him, but that's alright. Figures like this are what decisions like that were made for.
