i love the design of the new "dark knight" suit.. got nothing against the "batman begins" suit except like what DA said.. ive noticed it folds up like a floppy piece of rubber at his shoulders and hips as can be seen in some of the promo shots..

but guys, seriously, how ****ing bad ass did the batman begins suit look when lucious fox pulled open the drawer and first showed it to bruce wayne, before he painted it black?:D:D:D

Never heard 'busy" being used in that way,oh well.It does have a more detail and depth to it.But it still looks great, and the look of it is far from cluttered and distracting.

I like TDK suit as well. You can tell things are getting rough on the streets if thats what he has to put on. Even if I didn't though, I know after the movie there would me a mysterious force compelling me to get a piece of something representing it (hopefully from Takara). I was never too crazy about the Begins suit, and here I am soon to be +2 Takara figures later :lol

Speaking of which, is there a guy anywhere or does anyone have any tips on what to do and what not to do when it comes to the BB figure? Like the best way to go about swapping the head and hands without breaking anything.

Seriously?

Seriously! I'm a carpenter and I have never heard that word used in that way.Maybe I have but never used it or heard it enough to be throwing it around the way it is.I ofcourse am not like some of you college guys.I started carpentry right out of high school and never did anything else. But I do read and I do try to stay informed.I guess learned a new word to today.:D

Wow! You would think as a carpenter you would hear that word used a lot. I am a professional artist. When I make a logo or do some art for like a CD cover... you have no idea how often I hear the term "busy" be thrown around. Not to say my work has ever been called that, but someone will mention, oh that's a great idea, but I am afraid it will come off looking "busy." Someone else will say I want a bunch of stuff thrown in and I will tell them, clean and sharp is the way to go. A busy logo or piece of work could become an eye sore. I remember someone wanted me to have a logo that had several colours. Most logos have two, since it's much cheaper to print. Take a look at Subway's logo, McDonald's, etc.

Which reminds me I should be doing some drawings...I have to finish this robot dog I am designing... then I get to build him into a 3D physical world. He will be airbrushed, and have 15 points of articulation. Then I have to make a bloody story board of how I built the darn thing. ARGH!!!

I think the word busy as we're using it around here has a strong tie to artistic mindset. Something being "busy" as in cluttered is more an artistic observation and probably and odd use of the word for people not frequently making artistic observations. After 4 years of high school and 4 of college art classes as well as professional discussions on the job, I've used it abundantly, especially as my personal taste tends to more often lean to simplistic designs.

As far as a Batman suit, I think the look of some of the comics and the Adam West suit are a bit too simplistic, but the original, 1989 Keaton suit was perfect, not too busy, but a bit more to it than just cloth so it was interesting under the lighting conditions. I agree that on screen, much of the detail on the new suit will not show, particularly of Batman's behavior is still more a silhouette than a figure, you'll mostly see the cape flowing. I just find critiquing the suit as an artistic design outside of the film, much of what's going on in it is superfluous and makes it feel like it's almost designed to seel it to teens or something like the way some of Nike's newer shoes come out.

Yes,it sounds like a term that an artist or designer would use.

And no,us carpenters don't use that term in the field.I can name some terms that we do use that YOU haven't heard of,and I wouldn't expect you to know all of them.

However, there are some fields in remodeling and construction that require designing/artistry,I even do some. And they may use that term,But I'm more of a Kitchen & Bath/Windows & doors/Basements & additions guy, with some cabinet making experience. So "busy" is not part of my everyday terminology.
