Yeah, Lejuan - all the best man!! :hi5:

I'm just so very pleased, that I ordered mine early through HLJ - got it in record time, & had zero issues.

Gotta be happy with that. :)

That is brutal. Really makes me think that anyone that still has one yet to ship (like in my case) is probably going to get a returned item. :monkey4 Ugh... guess I'll find out. At least you're getting your money back, but kind of cold comfort considering the Sideshow premium.
Can't you cancel and order from Amazon? Dunno how the shipping prices compare, but you're saving $57 on the item price...

Would go the hlj route as well.

Sorry to hear that, Lejuan.

I think it'll work out with you, Lejuan. I'm sure you'll get a good one from HLJ. Third time's a charm!

Thanks guys, I'm sure it'll work out with HLJ. One thing about this thing being kind of pricey is that there are still plenty of stores out there that have it still. If the next one arrives with issues I'll just keep returning it until I get a good'un.

This is the first time I've ever had to call on a store to exchange a figure, and it's happened amidst all the talk about how SSC's CS standards aren't what they once were. With SSC's prices being that much more than just about every other store, there are four things SSC have going for me as a non-US collector:

* cheap shipping: this cost $25 to ship, DX11 cost $30. Normally shipping even a basic figure from the US costs $45. I paid the same for DX11 as I would've from BBTS, but I get the exc. instead of the reg.
* exclusives: very occasionally the exclusive is worth the extra coin, but 9 times out of ten, for me at least, it's not.
* reward points: though 5% RW hardly negate the extra 10% MSRP
* first class CS: er... apparently not. Waiting 20 days to be told my in-stock figure can't be replaced is more like 2nd class CS.
* Flexpay: that did make it easier to pick this up when up-front funds were low, but it's not a factor in what I buy or not.

There's only one thing that'd see me ordering again from SSC and that's a must-have exclusive like the DX04 extra body. Failing that, there really is no point.

ok.. so still no response about my 2nd return..

take it i'm getting screwed like lejuan too?

Major problem for me is that I used years worth of rewards points on him.. 130 bucks worth I think.. so how does that work?!

wtf sideshow.. how hard was it to check the damn figure over before sending me a replacement. it wasn't even WRAPPED.. laksdjfkldsjfskldjf..

TWO returns?? That blows. You should be able to get your money and reward points fully refunded. BTW After two weeks I got ZERO response from my initial enquiry about exchange/refund. It was only once I called them - not easy in my timezone - that the wheels started moving. Good luck!

well, i've only returned once, so i'm waiting to hear back about returning my second figure that was also damaged. Michael from service has been great about responding fast, and told me that the returns department was just taking a while, but would get to me asap.. but at this point, I don't believe it.. sounds like stalling because they don't know what to do.. guh..

does everyone else like hlj? i've never bought from them before.. and they seem a lot cheaper.. so maybe i'll consider that if I end up having to just get a refund..

and they BETTER give me my rewards points back.. lol.. or in the words of Han.. i'll see them in hell!

btw, lejuan, thanks for the goodluck wishes, and for updating us all. Really appreciate it! :)

No probs mate, we all benefit from the collective knowledge :)

I've ordered from HLJ twice before. I've not had to engage their CS, but their policy is very similar to Sideshow's when it comes to exchanges and returns. I placed my order with them this morning.

HLJ is the go guys - seriously. :lecture

I left them a thank you email after I'd gotten the figure & checked it all over - & they responded in kind pretty quickly.

They have a huge team of staff that handle a wide range of customer related issues. From my experience, they seem like a well oiled machine.

I'm definitely buying from them again, when I find the right item at the right price. :)

I was messing with my 3PO last night, and my chair back swung around and knocking him over, 3PO did a massive face plant on my desk.

No damage whatsoever.

:yess:

This thing is a beast.

Ouch! Glad he's good!

On the C/S issue, seems like there are some newbs at SS these days. I think their website says something about them going in for training in a few days. Glad to hear it cause they need it! I requested a new snow trooper helmet cause the one I got had a friggin hole in it. They threatened to charge me half the price of the thing if I didn't send a picture of the destroyed helmet. I'm like really? It's not a f'ing PF piece, it's a toy helmet..... WITH A HOLE IN IT! This didn't happen on 1/6th heads and helmets in the past. If I wanted to rip them off, I could just commission a casting, why go through all that? I even said to them, I'll and you the one with the hole of you don't friggin believe a customer who's ordered every damn star wars item you've ever produced!!!!

California and New York is top in C. A. L. Maybe it's time everyone get on broad and start one.

I've got a couple more flexpayments to go then I'll have mine.

I really hope I don't get a returned reject one from Sideshow. I'm happy to pay more and use SSC but if their CS has gone down the toilet then..........

I might see if I can pay it off early, break the flexpay.

@Lejuan, I hope it gets sorted out for you, you were one of the first to order too! Yours has far too many QC issues, it should never have made it through QC.

Thanks mate. I just hope you don't end up with the one I'm sending back :horror

Given that most of these seemed to have shipped in perfect condition, your chances of getting a good one would have to be pretty high. If not, then at least you know an exchange isn't an option so you can save some time and hassle by telling them you're sending it straight back.

I just got my receipt from HLJ. The set shipped comes to $360. SSC was $425. So, minus the reward points I would've earned, that's a $45 saving. Not that I care at this point about the money so much as having a shiny robot treat on my shelf :)

I love mine im happy I didn`t have any issues with him he`s been the center piece of the collection lots of family members loved looking at him good luck lejuan hope you get yours real soon

Can someone do a comparison of Medicom's Droids vs Sideshow Chogokin?

I know droids made of metal is cool but what about the sculpt & scale?

I am being really nice to most here. People if you're not happy with ssc. Then look into a Class Action Lawsuit. Ssc made a post thatopen then up.

As A pperson who collection is mostly by numbers. I am not happy and well.I am thinking of leaving it.

But all the crazy stuff on lady death and others even C3PO . Sue them they will listen!

In the end it may cost them $$$.

If money isn't a deciding factor, it really is a no-brainer. Oscorp's pic (I think):

Medicom can't even get the scale of R2 and 3PO correct with respect to each-other. I really have to get rid of my only Medi figure and put them on my ban list - I can't think of one redeeming thing about them.
