Freight would be horrible!:eek
Hopefully SS and the other dealers can let you revise the shipping address for this thing. I've ordered boxes to store my smaller figures in and even flat, if it is 48", it ships as freight! What I eventually did to get my $25 bundle of boxes from $100+ freight shipping to like $30, was have them shipped to a business address versus my home. I upped my order to two bundles and called it good on the $30 freight charge. Was it good? No, $30 was too much, but since I REALLY needed the boxes, it sure as hell was better than paying over $100!

There is a rumour floating around HK forums that The Bat might be cancelled due to the very high costs and the logistical complications involved in getting this thing shipped to dealers all over the world. There is also talk that this will be a box that can't fit into a normal sized sedan and will need a van or truck to transport.

For perspective over here in Asia, most people drive sedan or hatchback.

Not everyone have a truck or a hummer like the States. :p

Damn, it would be a huge bummer if shipping were the reason why The Bat wouldn't go into production.

But something tells me the people at HT would have talked about this before advertising it. Hopefully they come up with a solution.

My brother who's always appalled by how much i spend on these
figures suddenly asked me if HT is making the BAT and if im buying it

:lol

looks like even non-fans love this thing,
it would be a disappointment if canceled

but then again, still cant think of a place to display it :lol

Ahaha my 12 year old brother asked me the same thing, he loves the figures but doesn't have the money for them (obviously) :)

Such logical reasoning as to where to put it comes afterwards, right now you just gotta buy it :lol

HT better either call Ikea and have them flatten the damn thing or start back ole skool and break this puppy into a few boxes and call it a model kit!

I would love to buy as much figures as I could but right now I don't have a job. I just rely on pocket money :L. plus my moms always going on about how I could use my money more wisely but she doesn't understand my love for this hobby. I should really start considering a job. Any suggestions? (I'm 14, lazier than a Garfield on a Monday morning but I'll do whatever's asked of me, as long as its not massive.)

You picked a very expensive hobby :lol Try supermarkets, the job wont be too hard and the salary should be okay too.

Not canceled :yess:

Well it better not be cancelled

And it better be an assembly piece :lol

Don't panic. I know for SURE that i could personally make this and offer it as a kit for people to build for themselves for under £100 by using alternate techniques.
With the abilites of Hot Toys and the resources at their command, i know they will build around a basic frame and have user-attachable pieces around that. If i were Hot Toys, i'd make all the "kit parts" with magnets embedded.

I woke up this morning and went on FB as I drank my morning coffee. I'll be honest I got a little upset when I read the rumor. I have wanted to buy this since I saw the first glimpse in the TDKR trailers, and then when HT published the first backstage photo.

After watching the movie I knew I couldn't pass it up.

Thanks for showing the picture! Hope it really means they aren't cancelling it. It would be a huge shame.

If shipping is an issue, maybe they can do it in two boxes!

I'm gonna hold you to that if HT doesn't come through :lol

They won't cancel it due to size. Sideshow makes ginormous items all the time. They won't sell as many of these because of the size, but they won't cancel it because of it. They knew how big of a project this was going into it. No reason to build the darn thing and then not sell it.

People just love to panic about something :lol

It had me from the moment it hit a sign on YouTube and a huge chunk fell off it.gotta love such a massive fail!!

It was £56.21 to ship the mark IV gantry to England via sideshow so God knows what this will be.I think I ll go through my trusty eBay agent if there's no exclusive.
