Hopefully Hot Toys makes this actually capable of prolonged flight. That way instead of using wires I could just have it stay suspended in mid air for the ultimate display.

What would be a awesome display.

Judging by its size, I don't think that's even possible and it would be front heavy. At a much smaller size, it's possible but the design would have to be changed quite considerably to keep it level.

I hope that it will mostly be metal rather than plastic. It would give a proper feel and weight to the Bat imo. Most people will probably put it on a table rather than suspend it.

I'm honestly more interested in seeing how people are going to display this thing. As I was watching the film, all I could think about was the fact that Hot Toys had the balls to make this massive thing!

Exactly and charge a arm and leg for it.

OK, try this: if HT were to have gone back in time and offer the Bat at the same time as the things I'm willing to sell, I would've chosen the Bat. In that case, I would've never purchased the things that I'm willing to sell and it wouldn't even be an issue for you. It's all timing... perhaps the Doctor can explain better:

Its not an issue, just a curiosity. & your example only travles one way thru time....back. which still does not answer my question which is predicated on FUTURE purchases. Look, its cool. Buy what eva da hizzel makes you happy :). I just have a thing for finding out what makes people tick.

One thing's for for sure - It'll be big. I'm expecting this to be an assembly item, so as to cut down on bulk packaging. Compare a HT figure to it's packaging - then equate that ratio to The Bat !!! HaHa!!

i am wishing that this is an assembly item so that I can fit the box inside my home. PLEASE be an easy assembly item!

It has to be. The 'BAT' is supposed to be 28 feet long and 17 feet wide. At 1/6 scale it's approximately 4' 4" (4 feet 4 inches) long and 2' 2" (2 feet 5 inches) wide.

Just a little bigger than the Burton Batmobile then length wise, which is 20 feet long and 7' and 7" wide. Quite a bit wider, but not much longer (and this sacle).

The Clooney Batmobile is 38' and 8" long though :lol

I just hope this thing comes with the bomb since its unlikely another figure would come with it.

____ing hell that's huge! :horror I know it's meant to be big, but THIS big??

I hope they will provide some sort of stand because I don't have a free table big enough to support this beast, his dimensions are too big (but i doubt they will, in the pictures the Bat has little ski-like stands which are coming out from under the front propellers/turrents + the flaps at the back will probably be able to bend down to support the back).

Are there any concept plans floating aorund the net for this?
I want to build one myself first.
If i got good reference i don't reckon it would take that long.
Plans would make the build a lot quicker...

There is a schematic of 'The Bat' in this book [ame="https://www.amazon.com/The-Dark-Knight-Manual-Documents/dp/1608871045/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342963006&sr=8-1&keywords=Batman%3A+The+Dark+Knight+Manual"]The Dark Knight Manual[/ame] but not enough information or pics to build your own. :)
