I knew you would! :D You've been waiting for this one for a while.

This is awesome! I just pre-ordered the Tumbler earlier this week, so this has me super excited.

I was hoping HT would make this, I'm definitely getting one.

So am I the only one who applauds HT's for taking this on? The only one who is eager to see it come together and the sheer size of it? All these comments of "Fail" and all that bull, so annoying.

:exactly::goodpost: I cant wait either to see this and I will be the first to say I might not be able to afford this but I still want to see it made

I skipped a bunch of pages so I must have missed posts like that. Seems a bit silly alright.

Oh look, something big to add to the pile of debt young Nolanites are building for themselves that most will likely never get out from under.

Kudos to Hot Toys for pushing the envelope, though. But this is probably one of the most impractical collectibles I've seen in a long time. I can think of countless other vehicles I'd rather have in this size, scale, price range.

Well, this will be fascinating to watch develop, at least.

LOL I pay college tuition (without loans) and other various living expenses all on a part time job making minimum wage and still most of the time can get what I want. :dunno

I am passing on this though, to big.

No,it s beautiful.Epic pieces like this are the reason I love Hot Toys and long may they continue.Incidentally, this comes almost exactly four years to the day since they first redefine,d the boundaries for 1/6 vehicles with the Tumbler.

You aren't the only one, and I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure that I get this. From a technical aspect alone, if HT goes through with this and does it right, this will be a benchmark in the 1/6th field. I'm just in utter disbelief right now because I am just envisioning how impressive this thing will be when finished, considering how impressive it is at this early stage.

Looks cool but I would never consider purchasing it. I don't even want to imagine the shipping costs on that thing...

Is that a 1:18 Scale or 1:50 scale 89 Batmobile there, also how did you get both 89 Figs to displays so nicely not looking crowded at all with stands?

It's the 1:18 Hot Wheels Batmobile from a few years back.

As for the figures, I just scooted the stands all the way back and about 3/4" apart in the middle. That left room for the car and my poster display in the back. It all fit pretty well, actually. :)

Have you been reading the thread? Several of us are impressed by Hot Toys' pushing of the limits by doing this one.

Is that to scale? It looks a bit small.
Looks small? Relative to what? This is the only photo HT has released of it so far, and in it there is not a clear reference point to compare its size to.

It frankly surprises me that there are so many people that seem to be expressing disappointment in HT for doing this. Why? Who says there should be a limit to what they can produce? If you don't have the money, or the space, or simply the desire to buy this, then just admire it from a distance and go about your business. Of course it's going to be a pass for alot of people, but it's also going to be an easy buy for others.

I wouldn't necessarily say that people are disappointed. In fact most have given HT accolades for even attempting something of this magnitude. If anything I would
say that many see it as unnecessary.

Wow.

Oh, if only I had unlimited funds and space! This would be so cool to suspend from the ceiling.

It's way out of my reach, but I have to applaud them for having the stones to give it a go.

But my question for the group is this: If they can pull this off, might it pave the way for an eventual 1/6 scale X-Wing or Tie Fighter? Or Falcon cockpit?

Just throwing that out there ...

I don't think anyone's really "criticizing" them for taking this on, per say. I mean, is it a tad excessive? Perhaps. Is there a market for it? Sure. Will all of us be picking it up as easily as a figure? Probably not, but more power to those who can buy and display it. And more power to Hot Toys for pushing the limits of 1/6 scale collectibles. I mean, if they weren't so innovative, we wouldn't have the PERS. My DREAM would be a 1/6 Ecto-1. Now THAT is something I would preorder in a heartbeat! ;)

exactly! I don't think excessive though. I just think it's HT pushing to improve upon what they can offer.

It won't be easy to pick this up, but for me as a fan of the Nolan movies and the modern film incarnation of batman this is a beautiful piece to have.

Like you said, we all have our dreams for what HT might make one day. Some might call it excessive but if HT is able to pull it off, let them!
