How do they hold the Bat on that diorama?

Might wanna start to think of where should I put it in my room :panic:

There is a peg under the cockpit and a stand behind on the tail:

oh hell ~ i could never lift that. seeing the girl crouched beside it clinches it for me: this thing is massive and unwieldy.

i seriously wanted one when it was first displayed, but the impracticality of it is too much. i will have to just admire from afar.

boo-hoo.

I know what you mean. I am nearly done with my scaling drawings and standing on it's tail, this thing would be nearly as big as i am in 1/6. It's going to be a monster.

Here is the "Battle Damaged" version from the end of the film. This will cost you the low low price of $14,540.99

Wow! Spoiler alert. :lol

But really, I don't know where I'm going to put BD Bat. I'll have to pass.

:)

The sheer size of this thing makes me think it is unlikely to be released as anything other than a kit that you have to build yourself. Or most of it yourself. That's the only way I can see them cutting down on costs and even then, it will be a fortune.

A few years ago Yamato put out a 1/2000 scale SDF-1. It cost 200,000 yen and you had to build it yourself. The entire thing.

I think if HT does release this, they're going to have to do a preorder that's essentially made-to-order. Take advanced orders with a minimum threshold. In order for production to begin, they need X amount of orders filled first. If that number doesn't happen, it doesn't get made. Then any orders above that is just extra. Take a deposit on each order. Then as they are making it, it gives time for people to save money. Even then, they would have to factor in the fact that some people will probably change their minds or not be able to afford it by the time it gets released. So the deposit should be significant. More than your typical 10% up front.

Regardless, I don't see something like this going for anything less then a couple grand. Add shipping costs and potential duty on these... Wow. I will applaud the man who manages to get his wife to agree to such a crazy purchase. My gf was nice enough to let me splurge on a tumbler when we still have mortgage payments to make. I'm not even attempting to even talk to her about this. I'd get one of two reactions : she'd laugh in my face, or she'll rip my head off. Maybe both.

Lol. What a brilliant image.
But you're right in what you say.
Hot Toys have almost said as much when they said they would consider making it in 1/12.

1/12? Interesting. I definitely missed that.

As for my gf, she can be incredibly generous... But I know where her limits are. 1/12 though? Maybe... Lol.

It would still be as big(Or slightly bigger than) a 1/6 scale Tumbler in 1/12.
So it would probably cost the same(Or slightly more than), a 1/6 Tumbler.
It's mahoosive.

you can't put a 1/6 bats into a 1/12 bat. it would be an easy pass, alas.

i was willing to pay crazy money for this in 1/6, but it's not meant to be.

Normally I am a scale freak but I understand why they couldn't make this in 1/6. So I have no problems buying it in 1/12. However, I would not be into collecting an entire 1/12 line.

Oh ok. I wish i had the 1/50th scale Bat to compare for you, Iceberg. I guess InspectorSpacetime will need to break open his 1/50th Bats for you, since he's the one who posted the other day

Of course:

Hard to say if the Hallmark or the Hot Wheels wins the day. They both have their strengths. The Hot Wheels does have a stand. I hate how the cannons bend though due to how the way they're shoved into the bubble. I think the Hot Wheels might be slightly more accurate but it's hard to say.
