They never looked to goofy in the 90s movie, when they fought they looked badass.

Regardless of whether there was a tiny bit of goofiness here and there, they still look miles better than the Shrek-turtles we have now. I would say atleast the kids love the new Shrek-turtles but it's the current TMNT cartoon toys that fly off the shelves here, I remember when the movie was out the shelves were still full of the movie toys. No-one was buying them.

This x1,000. They looked like living beings and not goofy at all. Even beyond that, you bought them as being a family. I'm stunned people prefer the Eric Bana Hulk Shreks.

But but their defenders say if you stand 20 feet away it looks great!! LOL

And people are already getting this crap repainted. They do good robots, but aside from that I always found their paint apps really weak and not all that much better than SSC's.

I'm just sad someone greanlighted those designs. I loved the Henson designs. They really did look real. Minus how terrible it must've been to be in those suits, it came across as authentic.

I will say, Leo looks better and I'm sure the characters will be more well written.

I don't know why they wanted to make them so big. How do they fit in a sewer manhole. They look better in this movie but still. Also whoever decided to put glasses on Donnie needs to be fired and never able to work on a movie again.

You can portray sombody as the "smart one" without making them look like urkel

Nothing makes sense about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and that was half the magic of it. Trying to make it real just ****ed it up both in look and lore :lecture

Not true, the TMNT made perfect sense...even their original training made sense. The concept of talking turtles is ridiculous, but it's no more ridiculous than an alien with superpowers who wears his underwear on the outside...still, those stories and characters can still make some sense. In fact, the original cartoon made even more sense when they made Splinter a martial arts instructor before he became a rat, hence why he was able to talk and knew martial arts.

Agree on the cartoon but teaching them martial art from a book is a huge fail for me. Then again I guess it was realistic in the fact they didn't have the greatest fighting abiltity in the movie because of it. Heck punishment was just absurd balancing techniques. They used their indestructlabilty to do most things and used a kids game as a finishing move to off the shredder. Bring on the new director!
