how come PIXAR can deliver movies that adults love, adults even cry over
and can even win academy awards?????? ah???????
Isn't marvel movies for "Just for kids" Too? i mean, spiderman....that's like, for kids, technically
How come kids cartoons can be more serious and entertaining than some of these movies?
I never understood that whole "This is for kids" cop out. Im not saying You, im saying the guy in the video. some of the greatest cartoons or movies were made FOR kids.
Good point... However Spider-man and other comics had a long history of being and where popular way before the Cartoons. TMNT had a great run in the comics but exploded when the children latched onto the show.... Now if you are a fan of the TMNT comic then I can understand the outrage.. But IMO the outrage should be there for every single TMNT show or movie as they are all directed at the kids... These new movies seem to be more in line with the cartoon show... Those who are fans of those cartoons should not be all that surprised by these movies IMO.
I guess that was my point.
But I do think you make a good one.. However when people think of TMNT they tend to think of kids cartoons and toys... That is what the movie is aiming for. Could they be better movies?? Sure. But a movie based on a Saturday morning cartoon show is now going to get the respect that a 50 + years Marvel character has.
Those Pixar films and some of the Marvel movies are actually well written stories with good character development. I can't say there's ever been a great TMNT movie. The 1990 film is my favorite, but mainly because of the look and design of the turtles and environment. I also like the actors. However, the story is just as dumb as the last tmnt film, imo. The new one looks to be just as silly, just like the 80's cartoon, but that's fine.
I agree pretty much with this. Personally I did not hate the first one and I find some things to enjoy about the Transformers films... IMO get rid of all that dumb Bay humor in the Transformers films and you would have some pretty great action movies.
But that's exactly what the 80's and 90's cartoon was, a kids show to sell merchandise. I think the new film is giving fans of that show what they always wanted to see, so I disagree that they didn't care at all. Plus, they seem to have learned from the criticism of the previous film.
I agree again
