Any thoughts on:

Terminator PF vs Terminator2 PF

I'm trying to decide which to buy.
My thoughts:

T2
- simply amazing sculpt of Arnie
- body a little too thin
- pose a bit boring

T1
- sculpt not as good (still great though I think)
- switch out head on EX is sweet bonus
- dynamic pose is freaking badass

decisions decision...

honestly man, i saw the pictures of the T2 PF and my reaction was "damn i need to get this" ... once i had it and opened it i was just starring at it the whole time and it's a piece that's just ... damn! must own for T2 fans. having said that, i haven't seen the T1 PF in person BUT i have it pre-ordered and i'm sure the reaction will be similar

i know money is an issue for most of us, but i would get the T2 PF now, and then pre-order the T1 using flexpay if you can, cause if you're a fan of this like i am, you kinda HAVE to own both - they will make awesome complimentary pieces on the shelves and look seriously impressive

The T2 PF has a good likeness but is seriously lacking in mass when it comes to the body's bulk. It is like Borat under the leather...
My only flaws on the T1 PF are the sunglasses and the colour of the pants otherwise I think it is getting heaps of flack undeservedly.
Still folks seem happy enough with the Boratnegger T2 version but I think the T1 is much better.

i've seen some decent mods for that one where people have added bulk to the body to make him look bigger and they've come out pretty decent :dunno i don't have mine on display yet (building shelves for it to go up) - i might mod mine and post pictures when it's out of the box again

"Boratnegger" ... don't say this 5x out loud really fast, if the wrong person hears you, you're gonna get hurt :lol

I think the lighting on Sideshow official photos makes the pants looks far more orange than they should be.

I remember the Sideshow official photos of the Indy Temple PF made his costume look bright and yellowish...but when in hand the colors are perfect.

a lot of the sideshow statues look good in pictures and just AWESOME in hand - i liked mola ram, and in hand i was just dumbfounded

i think people don't give SS enough credit and automatically start the nitpick or the whole "well HT has better this and that" .. yea ok, fine, then go buy the HT version and let the ones who like this (or both) discuss these in peace

i agree that SS's paint apps could be a little better, but this far, i have yet to hold a PF in hand i wasn't impressed with, first PF was hellboy (from first film) and i was just speechless

yeah....I got an awesome deal on the Indy Crystal Skull statue - movie sucked so no one wanted I guess :D - and when I opened the box I was actually speechless. Easily the best collectible I'd ever seen.

...and then I got the Temple of Doom Indy. Just as great...and represents my single favorite movie moment ever :thud:

There is something about the size and scale of these giant statues - especially combined with a big awesome base - that just blows the mind.

I expect I'll feel the same about this Terminator statue.

I already Po'ed this a while back. Simply can't wait for it. Is it a perfect face sculpt, no. But the overall size and badass-ness of the entire display makes this a must for a Terminator 1 fan.

But the EX head does resemble Arnie a bit more than the Gargoyle head. It's the hairline I think.

With all the new announcements, I've been seriously considering canceling this and eating the NRD. Sucks, but I can't see how I can keep buying stuff I just like a lot when there is other stuff that I must buy that I need. :lol

Haha! You could pay it off, then return it. Return shipping would probably end up being less than the NRD. Of course, if you open it and love it, you may just be screwed anyway. :)

Not sure I'm willing to take that risk. As I'm sure most would agree, this stuff tends to look better in person.
