Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Yeah thnx Hicks! I'm sure you have helped a lot of people to make their own terminator figures from this thread, and I would have to say the info here has been an excellent resource for myself as well, much appreciated!

Here's a little contribution to keep this going. For anyone who needs a reference to the various weapons Arnie (and others) used in T2, check here:

Does anyone know if the Sat Toys biker set is still being made? The last batch from HK sellers sold in what, 2 - 3 months max? Hope they release more in future, or consider doing the T3 biker outfit (popsalute version was decent but never seen it sold without the boxed T850 they made).

Oh yeah, with painting eyes - do you guys put down one layer of color then gloss, then another color, and gloss again? Or is it better to complete the eye colors then gloss over the whole lot?

Still not done but at least the eyes are there lol. Going to remove that silver painted stud on the front jacket pocket (came that way when I bought it from a seller on ebay). I also bought that mini gun from the same seller, not sure what make but probably 21st century toys ..came with no ammo belt :(

Yes keep the pics coming guys! :)

I paint the eyes completely, then do the gloss coat.

And great looking figure so far :rock

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

i just bought a ST biker set from cotsworld the other day, greyrabbit. it is still listed on their site but it says WAIT LIST ONLY now. you can try contacting them about it.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Thanks for props and tip gb! The reason I asked about the glossing, is that I also did the eye colors first and glossed over but still doesn't seem to have enough of a wet look. I thought maybe that has to be built up between the color layers as well. Guess I should just be adding more gloss lol.

Oh great heads up Craw, I've dealt with cots before when I was collecting Joe's - I'll get on that wait list! :D

Yep a couple of coats of gloss will really bring out the eyes. You can also add a few extra layers on the cornea and pupil to give it a bit of a rounded top, which more closely simulates a real eye.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

ah where do you find the bandoliers

well...........you probably need to make them or have them made. i used a shotgun bandoleer that i widened to fit the grenades and painted back. i hear tell xenoviper made some but you may have to pm him to see if he still does.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Yes! the word from home is my Terminator arrived this morning, so once i get home from work i can take a good look at it and start ordering some things to customize it.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Congrats, is it the Sideshow figure? You have a bit of work in front of you... but he is definitely a figure that a lot can be done with.

My brother and I both own a sideshow T2. We went halves in a HT terminator, which is what arrived earlier this morning.

I'm going to use the HT jacket, body and shirt. My brother is going to use the mini gun and gloves. The rest of the HT Terminator will end up on the bay once the photos are taken.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Ah, I see you are even further along. Very cool, be sure to post pics when you get him done!

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

yep contact xenoviper about the bandoiler. Its perfect , it was made specifically for 1/6 terminators. Thats if hes still making them. Awesome guy to deal with too. :rock

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Got my sunglasses today... look pretty good. Not the same level as the HT ones, but I think serviceable. I'll post pics tomorrow when I have more time :rock

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

So here are the sunglasses... on my temporary head. Imagine of Stallone had been given the role.

Yo Adrien! I'll be back!

I think the overall look is pretty good, I'll definitey cut off the ends when I have the final head so it will look right. But aside from that not bad for $6.

Looks pretty good imo and for $6 why not! Hey how good does that Stallone sculpt look? Can you buy them?

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Its not bad... I can send you a pic later on if you want. He's definitely recognizable... my wife commented on him being Stallone instantly. I think with a better paint job you could bring it out even more. The sculpt came with the body... pretty sure I won't need it once I get in my Terminator head.

But its from an ACE figure, the one I bought from Monkey Depot.
