Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

$280 U.S. for a figure that looks 60% acurate ........................... man its tempting to throw mine on Ebay ................................

NAH!!!! :D

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Wow, just saw that price... although honestly not completely surprised. T1 figures are very hard to come by and while flawed its not bad... at least not bad enough for someone with out the time to piece one together would be tempted to spend the money.

I mean my figure will end up being a touch under $180 to construct once its all said and done. BTW, looks like Josh finished up my headsculpt :rock

Which sculpt is that Galactiboy? and do you have more clear photos?

Looking forward to your complete Terminator :)

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Nope, the only photos are from Josh as he has the head. It was made by Imarsqed1, he offered them (and I think you can still get them from him) in the custom section.

Thanks for the reply :)
Ok, these looks so vague, but will try to find other ones from Imaresqed.

Have you seen Xenovipers one?

Can't wait to see yours complete ;-)

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

I liked Xenovipers quite a bit... but while awesome it was price prohibitive. I just couldn't swing the price.

Here are images from Imarsqed1 of his heads that he's also painted:

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

For the cost I don't think I've seen one better for T1.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Damn, I wanna start building one of these now:lol Can't have all these Endo stuff without Ahhhnuld somewhere in the mix

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Its a cool project... although right now the worst part is finding the Saturday Toys set.

i know, right?? i dont understand why they arent still producing these. i think they always moved pretty well from e-tailers. hoping they are just on a small haiatus.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Well... first off what movie version do you want? T1, T2, T3. There are pretty good recipes already provided. And this thread has become somewhat of a building your own terminator support group :lol

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

that's the problem with having so many options. You don't know where to plant your first step:lol Guess I'll go with T2 since that's what started it all for me and I love this sculpt

Guess I'll just start with page 1:lol

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

To me, this is The Terminator

norm-457922c9e0165-Terminator,+The+(1984).jpeg

That's what I'm going for... should be complete soon :rock

Although I'm rethinking the Ace Body... its actually too large and long, especially in the legs that just look off.

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

I have finally given in and bought the Saturday Toys Biker set, currently painting my final battle T2 head and have a body that I will sculpt battle damage onto and a Grenade Launcher. Just need some Boots and a Bandolier and should be sorted :D

Re: Building the ultimate Terminator T-800 figure.

Great stuff Ahnuld, please post pics of your progress if you're able to. I think that each persons custom terminator is unique in their own way, and it is really good to see everyones version.

Regarding the sat toys outfit, you're a braver man (or richer) than I for buying it! although well done! I have been thinking that someone on the board who is already tailoring 1/6 outfits should have a go at doing terminator clothing too. Perhaps the outfit could even be made more screen accurate than the sat toys set is.

I'd like to have a go at it myself even if it is just the jacket, as there are still leather pants + shirt sets quite cheaply available on ebay (around $20 from when I last checked). However I would not know where to source those small zippers from is the main problem.

If you are after a bandolier, have a word to xenoviper. I bought one from him which is perfect. It isn't exactly cheap but well worth the price. As for the M79, try and get the zacca version.

As for your BD T2 head, was yours from Darren, xeno, or imaresqd1?
