Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

Man... I watched T2 yesterday... Such a great flick.... this will make Salvation (which I liked) so much better. :lol

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I think a lot of people don't like the design because the movie is so bad and nonsensical. Crappy movies can have fantastic designs too (AvP:R).

I love Wolf, I always appreciate a good character design regardless of the movie it is in. This T-3000 just isn't doing it for me.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

With all the panning we've been doing imagine if this somehow ended up being the best movie of the summer. :lol

I very much doubt that will be the case of course, the trailers have all indicated that this contains everything I hated about T3 - excessive (attempts at) humour, excessive overblown CG stunts - so I don't see how I will like this any better.

I thought DOFP was going to be pretty stupid and ended up loving it. I just don't see how that can be possible with Genysis though. Because the trailers for DOFP ended up looking pretty cool, not so the case with this one.

I sensed failure was inevitable, when they put these out...

...and confirmation with this.

I really like the look of what is now known as the T-3000. Jason Clarke is a fantastic actor and I would get a figure of this.

So this is the guy who is old John Connor? Seems like this would be better revealed in the movie than on a poster, but. . .

It's a lame looking Terminator design, IMO. But does maintain the "black tactical" look of your Nolan Batman, Snake Eyes, Robocop 2.0 etc. that was all the rage the last few years.

The marketing guys for this film don't do common sense but if they did....it would probably still be a pretty ***t film.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I think they spoiled Connor as a Terminator because rhe "buzz" around the film has all been negative so they figured "what the hell" hoping that maybe people MIGHT be drawn to see him as the bad guy. Didn't work.
