I hate how powerful villains always grab and pick up people by their necks and then just throws them across the room, instead of you know, killing their opponent?

It's such a cliche that it's even done conversationally now.

It's like, "Hey Stark, let me tell you something *choke, lift* I'm mad at you." *sets him down* "So anyway bla bla bla..."

But at least he killed that dude. Maybe a little hastily.

That was ok because he killed the guy. I think he died before he hit the floor. It's only lame when the villain is fighting the hero...unless they have a reason to play around, like the Predator alien when he was choking Dutch.

It's such a cliche that it's even done conversationally now.

Maybe that's how he works on his biceps.

It has gotten to the point where people don't realize if I actually grabbed you by the neck and lifted you off your feet your neck would snap from the weight... let alone if I used enough inertia to heave your weight across the room. Neck's just aren't that strong.

It has gotten to the point where people don't realize if I actually grabbed you by the neck and lifted you off your feet your neck would snap from the weight... let alone if I used enough inertia to heave your weight across the room. Neck's just aren't that strong.

Stretching your arm out and lifting 40lbs straight up is something the average person can't do, let alone a full grown man's weight.

Movie neck lifting is the reverse of hanging, and having seen enough electrical cord hangings to last a life time I can tell you that what kills is the adams apple trachea crushing asphyxiation before a snapped neck bone.

If you work at it hard enough though you can eventually "snap" the neck.

Although for me the passed out hooker on a very dirty toilet with the heroin needle in her arm and her newly born baby inside the dirty toilet beats out any hanging.

Cameron is bull***tting. There's just no way. Those clips are ****ing awful. Such pandering. T-John paraphrasing a Kyle Reese line he could not possibly be aware of - all for a bit of fan-service. Christ. I don't even have to see it.
