Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

If some money changed hands, then, no. :lol

I'm certain Cameron makes money off Terminator in some way. If not an uncredited production fee of some kind, then a rights fee. He's also got a finger in merchandise I'm sure, so why would he ever be negative on his creation's possible toys... and his best legacy. Plus he's friends with Arnold, so why bag on his friend's movie?

Hell, wasn't he positive about Terminator 3 too?

One potential reason could be integrity and honesty. . .but who can step into another man's shoes? Maybe Cameron really does like the crappy Terminator movies.

No, I get it. Besides, Jim Cameron has done more for the industry, especially when it comes to blockbusters and big-tent, big-ticket spectacles, than just about anybody else.

Not to mention he gave us Aliens, the first two Terminators, The Abyss and True Lies. And, gulp, Titanic and Avatar. I'll always be grateful for the former.

But just because he thinks a movie is good does not make it so.

I'm curious to see how they'll try and explain how 1984 Sarah and Pops will know about the punks and the department store Reese initially hides in. It's not like the T-800 or Reese ever gave her those details in T1. How would they ever think to stake those places out? I assume Pops will tell her where to go but how would he know? All they had in the future would have been the recordings she made in her Jeep, which of course couldn't have included that information.

Watched T1 tonight and the exact quote from Reese:

''Most of the records were lost in the war. Skynet knew almost nothing about (John) Connor's mother. Her full name, where she lived; they just knew the city''

So I'm still wondering how Skynet now knows about Sarah's parents or Sarah herself prior to 1984. Could it be that, post-T2, Sarah and John became too relaxed and left a trail of relevant information that clued Skynet (still 'inevitable' like T3 says, even though T3 is presumably disregarded) into the history of the Connor family - information that this time was not lost in the war?

But as for what you're talking about Khev, harder to explain that. Obviously Pops must know all these details but how in the hell....

So you didn't notice this one on Bill's arm either?

Nope.

Terminator privileges rescinded.

BTW, trim your nails, T-800. WTF.

Jesus y'know what else I didn't notice? That there was only 3 Sarah Connors in the phone book. If the Terminator had decided to work in ascending order the film could have gone very differently :lol

Alternate timeline. :dunno

The first Terminator finds her mother and is responsible for the tech that eventually becomes Skynet. But then the second Terminator has a hand in destroying that tech. And then...... Just go with it, brah.

Somehow I think Skynet is just a crazy woman.

HBC is Skynet, yeah..

I wonder if the Deppster got asked to be John Cahnnuh at some point, with Tim Burton to direct. :lol
