Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I don't mind the leather jacket but I'm hoping they stay away from the leather pants. I never really liked the all leather look. I prefer the T1 look. I don't care if they put him in jeans. Anything but leather.

Maybe that's just how we should look at it. I very much doubt it'll be a good Terminator film, but it's just one more chance to see Arnie doing his thing. If it's a crap film, OK, I can disregard it as I do T3 and T4. We still had two great films.

I'm not sure why you'd doubt the quality this early on. I suppose being burned by T3 and Salvation would leave you a bit weary, but I think Alan Taylor's a pretty awesome director, and they've got a pretty solid cast. Plus, the fact that they talk about revisiting the first two films also leaves me somewhat excited, as it tells me that, even though this could be just as bad, they know enough to stay away from the last two "mediocre/bad" sequels.

I'm not liking the cast at all :dunno

The one cast member I have a problem with is the guy they picked for Kyle Reese. Just doesn't have the same vibe that Biehn did.

Exactly! He is a terrible choice, he looks nothing like Beihn, ******* steroid infused potato head
and no one would believe Emilia Clarke could be Sarah Connor, she too short and soft looking
I have not seen enough of Jason Clarke to make judgement on that casting
and I cannot question Arnie :lol

hey Byung-hun Lee! Save this movie :rock

T3 director Jonathan Mostow seemed like a good director aswell - he made that Kurt Russell movie 'Breakdown' which was pretty good.

Matt Smith…. His face makes it feel cheesy already.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

As long as they just say he's a T-800/50/etc that's been operational for a long time, it will work just fine. They're covered in flesh, so naturally that flesh should eventually age right? :dunno So I still don't have a problem with Arnold being old in this.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (July 1st, 2015)

I think this may be very very good- if you can forget the originals just enough...!

I don't know. As quickly as the T-800 was rotting in the first film, I got the impression that it was a temporary thing. I mean they have no circulatory system or anything, I don't see how the flesh would stay viable for very long. Then again, these are movies about time travelling robots, so perhaps logic isn't really an issue.

I think Timothy Olyphant would've been a good choice to play Kyle Reese.
