Yup, word is that people from the studio aren't too happy with what they are seeing from the film

Well that's not necessarily a bad omen. That could mean they didn't hear enough catchphrases and oneliners, not enough jokes at the T-800's expense, not enough OTT stupid crap....

Or that the knobs running studios nowadays are seeking ways to dilute the violence down to make the PG-13 rating, guaranteeing a ****** final product, then they'll wonder what they did wrong and also wonder why it flops, leading to proper reboot when Arnie is 83 and still playing the Terminator.

T3's only real sin: recasting John. Understand why they had to, but it was a huge deal for me

Other than the crappy John Connor and the crappy jokes, what was so terrible about T3? For a second unnecessary sequel (T2 being the first), T3 wasn't that bad. Had John Connor been played by a better actor, and the character been tougher and badass, the film would be pretty good.

It was fairly forgettable, aside from the ending. If 'MEH' is a sin, then T3 is very guilty

I like the fact that he lost his mother threw him off his game for awhile.

T1 & T2 are two of my favourite films of all time but 3 was, for me, an abomination.

In my opinion, Arnie was terrible in it & far too old & jokey. Loken was poor, pitiful male wish fulfilment who strutted around (like she actually was) like a catwalk model & as a result the T-X exuded zero menace throughout the entire film. Nick Stahl was awful in his role. And the action sequences & ending played out flatter than a fart.

Terminator Salvation was, for me, a masterpiece compared to that turgid tripe.

Nah, there was a lot more wrong with it than that. There's 2 websites I've read dedicated to how crap that film is, wish I could find where I buried the links....

I think there's some good stuff in it, even if most of it is not good.

I like T3. I like the T-850 who is an ass to John Conner and the one who kills him in the future.

But like everyone else, I can't stand Stahl. A junky Furlong would have been better.

Is that why Furlong wasn't in it? Found this on imdb.

"Several sources, including Moviehole.net, claim that originally Edward Furlong was asked to reprise his role of John Connor. However, citing personal reasons, Edward stated that "it just wasn't meant to be." The predominant rumor seems to be that Furlong's sobriety would potentially be an issue, so the producers opted for a safer casting in Nick Stahl as Connor."

Maybe this could've been part of the storyline. Sarah's death sends John spiraling into a pit of depression and drugs and T-850 has to slap him around. "On your feet soldier! On your feet!"
