Is that why Furlong wasn't in it? Found this on imdb.

"Several sources, including Moviehole.net, claim that originally Edward Furlong was asked to reprise his role of John Connor. However, citing personal reasons, Edward stated that "it just wasn't meant to be." The predominant rumor seems to be that Furlong's sobriety would potentially be an issue, so the producers opted for a safer casting in Nick Stahl as Connor."

Maybe this could've been part of the storyline. Sarah's death sends John spiraling into a pit of depression and drugs and T-850 has to slap him around. "On your feet soldier! On your feet!"

Yeah, if they were shrewd they could've roped him into it somehow..

Unfortunately, we couldn't get this guy, at 25, to play John Connor. Male model and occasional actor, Michael Edwards.



He was also with Elvis's old lady for quite a bit. He really IS the Chosen One.
