He was thrown off the computer pretty quick at the beginning of the film though.

I'm still happy enough for them to be 700's, there's plenty of stuff to back that up.

Plus I can't see Skynet being that bothered about sending those endoskeletons off to give them a chrome buffing afterwards, especially after the 600's are left out in the fields.

This is one of those arguments that could go on for ages, I'll wait for the DVD extra's to clear the matter up :D

You would think that Skynet would be mass-producing T800 since they already have an active one.
But you are right....probably won't find out until the DVD/Blu-ray release.

Just got back from watching it. It's clear to me the Terminators in the factory are T-700's, due to the rough texture and same coloured teeth, bigger body.

Hot toys have got it right with that.

The reason T-700's aren't mentioned is due to the fact that they are the machines the Resistance have been fighting so far? Alongside the T-600's.

The Arnold is the first T-800 ever? Although he looked more like a T-700 to me when he got his skin blew off.

Maybe their economy sucks and they use the cheaper models most of the time. :lol

There's a whole section about the T-700 model in the movie companion book:

I'm still subscribing to the theory that all the endos in the factory were 700's and the only 800s were the Arnie model that attacked John and the ones still being "grown".

Either way, it doesn't matter, the movie ended up being shoddy, I wouldn't be surprised if the production was shoddy and negligent too.

Well I just looked through the official movie companion book and in it the T-700 models are listed as official. There's an illustration that has a lineup of T-600, T-700, Marcus (T-TRIP) and the T-800.

Looks like you beat my post lol^^^

Your post contains Megan Fox, so it's still worthwhile. :D

Yeah apparently there's a few pictures of the T-700 model (one of which you can see on the first page of this thread -- the endo skull props).

I haven't been able to look through the companion book yet. Is the 700 described in the text in any way?

There a scene cut out of T3 I know that talked about why all the 800s looked like Arnie....here it was a nod to the original but I would imagine he was the only 800 type...at least skin wise.

I would think that he would've mentioned T700 if that were really the case. The movie clearly only talks about two models the 800 and the 600. There probably would've been data on the computer or something. The ones at the factory looked like the 800 to me.

Connor never mentions any models. Kyle mentioned the 600 and you see the 800 schematic but no one else really says T-anything.

yeah there's a few t mentionsby connor at the vla realizing the t-800 is 10 years early, connor with the t-600 motor cortex knife thingamajig on the radio.... connor in the factory says "t-800's", connor describing the nuclear fuel cells, "life source for the t-800" crappy line.

No, not in the actual text, just in caption form with the pics. There's a page with a picture of Stan Winston artists working on T-700's with the caption "Building the T-700 Endoskeletons featured in the Skynet Terminator factory"

Something gives me the feeling that not even the production crew of the movie could distinguish between the T-700 and T-800 if they were asked.
