I just had the free time to open mine (it arrived on the 9th) right now.

Was looking forward to this all day, but was a little pessimistic since I heard horror stories if your carrier was UPS.

Took out the box and was glad to see the low #/600:

As soon as I opened the styrofoam and looked at the bottom...:slap

Will be calling SS Customer Service Monday to see how I can get the base replaced. Hopefully I just have to send the base back. Just wondering, if I send the base, I will get the same #45/600 on the base?

Other than that, this is a great statue to own!

I thought the lights would be brighter. Am I wrong? Should the lights be brighter? Maybe something to complain to Sideshow as well if so.

Thanks

Please, please, please resize your images. I don't know about anyone else, but my connection can't take it. It takes forever to load the page, and most of the images refuse to load at all. Thanks in advance.

I noticed on mine that changing the batteries makes a big difference. BTW, got mine and the sheild came in one piece. Got a whole bunch of the white dust though. And my guantlet had some black smudge on it, but it came off.

Oh all right then. :exactly:

godlike!

I had to say hi :wave, just to let you know I'm still around!!!! :lecture

Yer a hard man to miss Ski. How ya doing?:wave

So, did you pick up this Thanos dio? If so, how you liking it? I was really surprised at how well it looks. I wasn't too happy with Thanos' face in the pics that were 1st released. Must say, the face really doesn't bother me at all now. Wish I felt that way about the knee pads!:gah:

Got it on Flex man, I just hope my luck is good with this piece.

I feel you. I was very worried about all the breakage with this piece. My luck with SSC pieces has held up. I received a perfect piece. No problems with it. Just had to do some dusting! A lot of white poweder with this piece.:lol

Good luck Ski. Hope you have no issues with your dio when you get it.

I did a poll at SF and there are over 50% of people who got it had breakage. This is pretty scary # and I don't know what SScis doing about it? Anybody on Flex should try to end or pay it off ASAP.

you'd almost be better off paying it off now just in case you need to start the returns process

Yeah, it's a tough call right now. If I had it on flex, I think I would wait to see how they are going to handle the returns process first. I'm hoping to hear something from them this week on mine, so I'll let everyone know what they say.

Someone blamed china manufacturing/shipping several pages back, when the bottom line is if Sideshow hadn't been completely retarded and glued the piece to the base this wouldn't have been an issue. Every single piece prior to this had pieces with pegs you put onto the base, even Iron Spider-Man's cap shield was separate.

Maybe they can take the lost revenue out of the bonus of the genius who decided gluing the shield would save the company money.

Yeah I bet they won't try this again. You can only cut costs so much before you affect quality. Hopefully Sideshow won't go the gluing route again.

That was the first example I thought about whenever hearing all this breakage. :monkey1
