FedEx delivery my replacement Thanos today and instead of Cap's shield being broken into three pieces from UPS, FedEx managed to break it into four pieces! Yippee! :clap I waited 4-6 weeks for this?!?!:monkey4 I am so disgusted with this that I didn't even bother to check to see if Thanos light up feature works. I just don't care anymore.

On a positive note, Sideshow did a great job of adding to the package protection of this piece though. Looks like they did everything they could to ensure the safety of the statue by adding a piece of cardboard to act as a shim for the base in the styrofoam cavity. :cuckoo:

I'm done with this piece. Sending him back and asking for a refund. I've got better things to do with my time and money. Fool me once, shame on you Sideshow. Fool me twice, shame on me. Epic fail!!!

By the way, this was the EX #: 149/600.

This doesn't look promising...

dude sorry to hear that....:slap:slap:slap:slap

Yea you might as well get a full refund and move on at this point...

Sorry to hear that Mister Ski. Give Sideshow so hell when ya talk to them!

Thanks guys.

Oh I plan on letting Sideshow know exactly how I feel about not only this piece, but their _____ty QC on most pieces over the last six months. It all started with the Iron Man Mark VI (I was on the fence about getting this piece at first but then all the QC issues started pouring in and I decided to stay away). Then Thanos with Cap's shield breakages, Carnage's broken and repaired claw tips, Spiderman's paint apps. I've got the Morgul Lord EX arriving on Tuesday. Can't wait to open that baby up and see the flame sword in pieces.

I have until Monday to cool down and collect my thoughts and make sure I cover all the issues I (we) am unhappy about. SSC had better get their act together fast because by sending out damaged product, they are damaging their reputation and sales in the long run. :lecture

^^ Ooh, yeah also, it just occured to me. Besides trying to change the batteries you should also make sure that the contacts are completely clean. I'm pretty sure that all of these statues are coming with the white polystone "dust" leaking from them. For mine, the powder leaks directly from above the battery casing, and after repositioning the statue one time I thought that my lights had died on me. I took out the batteries, and cleaned out some of that "dust", popped the batts back in and it worked again.

Also, Ski, that sucks beyond measure. If it were me, I think I'd give it a 3rd strike and they're out kind of deal. I've said it before here, but really; my heart goes out to everyone who's had issues with this piece. It's ridiculous how many people have had problems.

Thanks, i'll try it
thanks for the coments, i did a review with a lot of pics in my blog, but the coments are in spanish, sorry

With so many of these pieces arriving damaged, I starting to think the best way to pick this piece up is at a shop or con. This piece looks like it has the same shipping issues as the flames breaking on the Ghost Rider maquette and the helmet edges snapping on the Magneto comiquette. I had 2 Magneto comiquettes returned and had the same problem with the GR maquette. What a mess this is turning out to be.

Do not remind me about the Rider and his flame base...That's still one of (if not) the most difficult Marvel piece to find mint IMO, especially the Western Ex.

I had to buy four, before I got one.

Think I figured it out. The face sculpt is so ridiculous, all these broken statues are just karma for sculpting a Thanos/Horse/The Joker hybrid head. Oh and yes, I'm keeping mine once i get one that's not broken, so I'm allowed to poke a little fun :)

Oh and back when I ordered my Bowen Thanos, it came in mint the first time around. Coincidence? :dance:dance:dance:dance:dance:dance

With all these unsuccessful 2nd and 3rd replacements I don't know if I should be happy or upset that Sideshow still hasn't scheduled my first replacement!
